I really like the long plaid coat. Wouldn't care for the floral pants except they work fine in the pictures. Adam is always in the press and on covers and in magazines in the UK. It makes me wonder why they won't play his music. Yes I have heard all the excuses (that ring hollow to me) about they only play a few Americans and he is not in his early 20's. Carrie Underwood (American and about the same age) just got play listed on BBC2 with a song that is soon to be released and not yet a hit. And there is no way she has had as much exposure as Adam or done as many tours and interviews. He is the Queen frontman and is better known in the UK with his solo work and a top ten album. I know BBC2 does not have the same reach as BBC1 but it would sure be helpful to Adam to get played there. He spends so much time in the UK with interviews and they always want to know every thought he has about the status of LGBT artists. The praise is always flowing and attention appreciated but it would be nice if he were also rewarded with some radio play to help him reach a wider audience there. If you really think he is a good representative of the LGBT community and you always want him to talk about his sexuality (because you think it is important) and you think he is a talented and popular artist then let the people in the UK hear his music. I'm not in a position to know, but I guess these are not the same people, the ones who interview him and the ones in charge of radio programming. Maybe his PR can get him on magazines and TV shows, but his label can't get him on the radio playlists (if it's indeed the label which is in charge of that).

This could be interesting. I will tune in for sure. Lots of artists on the list, so it doesn't seem likely that they will spend much time on any one person or band. Nice to see Queen in the mix. We'll see!

And BBC2 is not BBC1. Completely different target group. BUT I am hopeful that Adam will be more successful in the UK with his new album. He was more successful with his last album there, after just one tour with Queen and much less PR. Now they know him much longer and he has a great reputation as a singer. The chances, that his music is going to be played, has never been better in the UK. IMO.

After all these QAL tours, he is better known and certainly more accepted. I hope A4 will get some play. Adam is so well-liked by everyone who deals with him in the business. Unfortunately, being a good guy and having a great personality, wit and talent doesn't automatically get your music played. But things could change. Hope so.

But when they are talking to him about why it is harder for LGBT artists, why not a mention that radio play in the UK is part of the problem for him? Surely they know he is not getting played there which would make it harder for him. They have different radio formats but it would be nice if he could be on any of them. Something is far better than nothing. I remember a while back (maybe it was GT but not sure), and someone said he needed to chart at a certain point on itunes to get played. He did that and people in front of him and behind him on the list got playlisted but he did not. And after all the attention, praise and searches he got for that NYE performance with Queen, I thought for sure with that much interest it would make a difference. Nothing. But hopefully things will be different with this era. Fingers crossed.
