David Wild also did VH1 divas, I think there was something else too. This is like the 4th or 5th time working with Adam.

I'm from Toronto and still have family there so I also acknowledge the day as well. Still get to celebrate here in November!

David Wild@wildaboutmusic Getting to to work with @adamlambert this week, and thinking about what a talented guy he is. Beyond his own stuff, I can't think of anyone else who could have done what he's done to keep the spirit of Queen alive & well. David Wild is an American writer and critic in the music and television industries and a contributing editor at Rolling Stone magazine. His published books include Friends: The Official Companion, Seinfeld: The Totally Unauthorized Tribute, Friends 'til the end, and others. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Wild Wild hasn’t commented about any of the others involved in the Elvis special that I’ve seen, I wonder if Adam has a hand in production or staging ... 🤔🤔🤔🤔

After all Adam can talk and look like Elvis.

This article is really quite relevant. Katy has reached the mountaintop in pop music and really has nothing left to prove there. It's hard to stay anywhere forever. At some point, she has to shift her identity from singer alone to a person who is a singer and has a life beyond the Top 40. Singers who can become "celebrities beyond the music" are very lucky. They can sustain careers without churning out albums. They have a "post-album, post-touring" identity. It's interesting how hard it hit her when her last album did not do so well. A #1 album is no longer an automatic thing for her. Adam is still deep in the "reaching for the top of the charts" period. He has the drive and desire to keep making his own music and promoting it and touring with it. In the end, you have to do what you love, regardless of sales and BB charts. I really hope Adam can make that leap into being and "entertainer" with broad talents that will keep him active in show business regardless of whether his music tops the charts each time around. He can be a successful singer regardless of that. I just hope he's around entertaining people in some fashion for decades to come. It seems that Gaga did the same thing. It becomes so difficult to try to compete with those newly out of their teens for the teen and early twenty something market. Of course many who don't, find their music at the top of the charts or doing very well anyway. Adele, Portugal the Man, Ed, Lorde, Sam, Legend etc. don't care only about dancing in the clubs but want to put out music for a wider audience. I think Katy will be able to do that too. Not a bad thing to try something different.
