In light of the discussions re no answers re management it got me thinking--- Is it pure chance that Adam and Leona Lewis will have been in three "events" together? (Duet, X-Factor, and now this awards night)
A few days ago I decided to check out her management, record label etc, but there was no link that I could find.
I was wondering if the connection was Simon Cowell, and if somehow Simon was back in her life after her management split with him, years back. And, was Adam in some kind of business arrangement with Simon. But, I could not find a business connection. He must still have decent relationship with Leona for her to have been on the X-Factor. Perhaps just good business to have them both on X-Factor. Adam did had the Australia X-Factor connection. I digressed a bit reading more about her through wiki, and whatever else cropped up on google...ie her homes in LA...haha, so never completed a thorough search.

Seems more than coincidence that Adam and Leona keep turning up together. I know zero about her.

bamafan yes, i remember being shown the story or whatever where Adam hinted at glee. I think one letter was Kesha (or Lana del ray) meaning her real name. Re a duet from a star is born. As far as I know "shallow" is the big song from the movie.

my take on the bee hat picture is...Bee-ing a star I haven't seen the movie, but I saw the previous version when I was a child, with Barbra Streisand in the role Gaga does now. And her first song, that she sings when she meets Kris Kristofersson, is called Queen Bee. ETA I found a youtube of the song: www.youtube.com/watch?v=ny1GzjqYG9U

That song has a lot of lyrics...lol. I could see it as a duet with Leona....but can't picture Adam singing it by himself. I assume it's in the new ASIB movie.....I don't remember it from the Judy Garland one....but that was a long time ago. :D

I wasn't trying to say Adam would do the Barbra Streisand song, in fact I think he'd never do a song like that, and I don't even know if he'd like it.

Very excited to find out who Adam sings at the SAG event! So much speculation. Would love it to be JUST HIM SINGING. I love duets, but come on. We need his own voice, loud and clear and perfect.
I SAW BOHEVIAN RHAPSODY LAST NIGHT! Our special showing had a guest speaker at the end, David Pruitt. He toured with Queen in the U.S. in 1977 (a very cold, snowy winter). He was a lighting tech guy who did all kinds of other stage prep work. He said touring with the band was fun but a lot of work. Freddie was a real perfectionist who liked to make last-minute changes to the stage setting sometimes. Lots of scrambling around ensued. David said that one time, the explosive smoke-pot things were over-filled with ammo and blew up big-time onstage, almost wiping out Roger's drum kit. He said the guys were all great. Brian was a real gentleman, and still is. He said John Deacon was very quiet but was a close friend of Freddie. David said there was plenty of drinking, partying, and carousing. Hell, it was the '70s. He also worked with KISS, Joe Cocker, Springsteen, Earth, Wind and Fire, and other bands of the era. Interesting guy.
As for the movie, I thoroughly enjoyed it! Every minute of it! Rami was great and I loved the actors who played the other band members, esp. Brian's role. The whole making of the BoRap song was really entertaining. Such creativity and risk-taking. I though Freddie's sexuality was handled just right. Just enough there to acknowledge his struggles without making the movie all about him jumping into bed all the time. It touched upon that "lost" period he had when he and Mary split. That whole relationship was very lovely. He loved her so much but they could never be a real couple.
There is great poignancy in this movie. It stirs the heart.
The musical section were wonderful, of course. It was fun to watch the band evolve. And LIVE AID was astounding!!!!
If I have one criticism, it's that Rami seemed to really have trouble with those fake teeth. Looked like he was really uncomfortable with them. He was always moving his mouth around. Freddie himself just naturally had those teeth and dealt with them. I guess having those fake ones in Rami's mouth was pretty hard to deal with and make it looks natural.
But nevertheless, Rami was EXCELLENT! I hope he gets an Oscar nom! I loved knowing so many of the songs. I never would have known so many of them if it hadn't been for Adam.
And, of course, Adam's little cameo just made my heart go crazy. I would recognize his body language anywhere. He's so damn sexy. And he doesn't have to say one word.

Wouldn't it be weird for him to do a cover of a song in a current movie with a soundtrack trying to be sold? Seems weird timing because he knows all the glamberts would be saying he did it better. Maybe Radio Gaga?
