twitter.com/hollyoutbreak/status/1120433343005257728Hollywood Outbreak @hollyoutbreak Queen For A Day: Adam Lambert Returns To ‘American Idol’ bit.ly/2UPdvYD @adamlambert #AdamLambert @americanidol #AmericanIdol @queenwillrock #Queen @abcnetwork One of the most lasting legacies of American Idol is one that many people never even consider. Back in 2009, when Adam Lambert was contending for the Idol title, the producers of the show brought in one of his favorite bands, Queen, to play with him on the show’s finale. While it was certainly meant to be a one-off gig at the time, nobody realized that a new musical partnership was being born on television: Lambert has toured with the band as its lead singer since 2011, with another set of shows planned for this summer. With Queen’s popularity renewed once again by the Oscar-winning biopic Bohemian Rhapsody, Idol will feature a Queen night next Sunday, with Lambert returning to the show as a mentor for the Top 8 contestants. Lambert told us he definitely looks at it as an opportunity to pay it forward, since being on Idol really prepared him for the stardom he’s found since being on the show. VIC PORCELLI Queen with Adam Lambert Will Perform on American Idol Apr 22, 2019 Adam Lambert is returning to where it all began for him, American Idol. He will be mentoring singers during "Queen Week" which will air Sunday April 28. The final eight contestants will perform Queen songs on this Sunday's episode. Adam got his start on American Idol, singing "Bohemian Rhapsody," for his first audtion on the show. Let's not forget that he didn't win that season, Kris Allen, (who??) won, and Adam came in second. Queen with Adam Lambert will perform on the season finale of American Idol on May 19 on ABC. Let's remember how dynamic Adam is as the new lead singer of Queen and re-live their performance from this year's Ocars. Is Adam performing with Queen on May 19th? Is this article right?? That would really surprise me. I don’t think, this is right, but I don’t know. I mean: Why should Queen travel all the way? For all we know, they have nothing to promote. Adam on the other hand .... Let’s say: The only possibility would be, that they will release a brandnew song together. But I think it’s much more possible, that the article got it wrong. I can't imagine that Queen will be there. Has to be a mistake. Adam will likely do one of two things. He will either do a duet with one of the finalists, which apparently is what Idol has been doing on the finale, OR he will get to sing his own new single. I hope it's his single, but something tells me it will the other thing. Dunno.

Sounds like someone saw Queen (theme this week) and Adam Lambert (mentoring, then performance in May) and jumped to conclusions. I hope he does a duet with a contestant and AND sings us something new. Fingers crossed!

Yup, like when he performed a few years back, doing "Mad World" and then "Welcome to the Show" which was a new release at that point.

Was there something I missed regarding Adam playing with the Jonas Brothers? To the Heavens and Earth, I pray this won’t happen. I know Adam’s solo career hasn’t hit the level many of us think he deserves, but I think things have really started progressing organically, and with some other help, too. He is a huge international star, and continues to be better known as fronting one of the most popular bands ever, and as I read somewhere, the hottest band in the world right now. That exposure will especially help as Queen follows the success of the movie.
I don’t think the King of Queen should be opening or blending with anyone else. Just how I feel. Others may not feel the same.
