I don’t know exactly why I think this, but I do - there might be some “cost” for Adam not interacting with fans on social media as much as some fans would like but there might also be a “cost” (or toll) on Adam when he does. Of course, he could try to make his interactions very edited or even delegate the task out, but I think he is more interested in “keeping it (as) real” as possible, and letting his performances, appearances, interviews, etc. speak for him most of the time - and then “letting the chips fall where they will.”
As for his music references and likes - I think that’s him, that’s real, what he’d be sharing, famous or not. But sharing other stuff . . . if it’s real, it’s such a fine line between being honest and accessible vs opening himself up (and those he loves) to soo much crazy, intrusive sh*t. It’s tricky, I am sure. I do think he has consciously pulled back a bit and I think it is sane and safer for him, being kind of “allergic” to trying too much to self-edit but also not desirous of pointless and hurtful comments and controversy.
