Yes, Lurleene.....that's why we call it a roller coaster ride. :D We go from almost manic during promo, ticket buying and touring to where is he....what's he doing...why doesn't he talk to us more during his down times, etc. lol. There is no even keel in Adamland. I think I'm going to be happy from now thru Aug 23rd.....then we'll see what's next.

Aug 30 is the Playmobil US release, and don’t forget Shosh said “Germany later in the year “... so I am assuming that round will be for the album promo

A little note regarding the AMAs for those who don't understand German... The commentator says that the AMAs were a scandal in conservative America (German: "im prüden Amerika") when Adam kissed his "keyboarder". However, the fact that he stayed true to himself led to an engagement as Queen's new frontman... Ita The report was highly complimentary imho. They kept pointing out that He is a favorit among other stars...and yes the the last sentence was very sweet.

sizzling, thanks for the putting the AMA comments in the German interview into perspective. It was certainly not a slam on Adam. Also, I went through that list of the careers of the top 30+ Idol alums. Interesting that a number of them got into acting at various levels. Some of them have done some high-profile TV shows. Just goes to show that you don't necessarily have to win Idol in order to have a good career. Some have kept up with recording and performing music, other not so much. The exposure on the show is the key. The rest is up to luck, talent and perseverance. Nice to see Adam at #3 behind Kelly and Carrie. I sure hope Adam gets his chance at some acting role that is suited to him and really shows what he can do. That was a nice list. But keep in mind, that the Idols who were off the show the first 8 or 10 seasons got more lucrative packages than current Idols. So tho some have net worth's in the 3-5 mil range, most of that came with lucrative packages (when they finished 1st or 2nd) and the initial burst of success. But many fell off the radar soon after. Carrie, Kelly, Adam, Jhud, Daughtry, Kat etc. are still making big money and have lucrative careers and are not on club tours. No one is making millions on club tours and playing to a few hundred people a night. And most of those on the list are not in big demand now. So it is good that they made good money in the beginning, even if their careers are not rocking now. I do hope the newest winner will change things around and get himself on the map.

The German TV-magazine "taff" from yesterday is uploaded to the official media-library of "Pro7" now!
So you can rewatch the reportage about Adam in good quality. It starts at about 16.40!

lurleene, You're right about the earlier Idols. They did have more support from the show. Things started to slacken shortly after Adam's year. Viewership started to decrease, leading to the show's cancellation. I don't know it the show has really recovered with its new inception. At least yet. The current winner is more of a country singer, so we'll see how he does in the broader market.
AND, I love the photo of Adam visiting Oscar Wilde's statue. Adam loves the arts in many forms and he share that with us sometimes. I recently read, for the first time, Wilde's "The Picture of Dorian Gray." It's one of his best-know books, but I had never read it. Its theme is about selling your soul for the indulgences and superficialities in life. Dorian realizes this far too late. Wilde was persecuted for his sexuality. Seems like we've come a long way since then, BUT in some parts of the world and even in the minds of some people in our own culture, we still have a long way to go. Among some very conservative groups, there is even more hostility towards LGBTQ people in our country.
