New music alert 🚨
@adamlambert announces new single #CominInHot blbrd.cm/GxCZNO
It's a new era for pop/rockstar Adam Lambert. After a four-year hiatus from his solo career, during which he became the new frontman for Queen, the singer returned earlier this year with two new singles and the announcement of his upcoming fourth studio album Velvet. Now, he's literally coming in hot with a new single.
On Tuesday (June 18), Lambert took to his Instagram to announce that his new single “Comin in Hot” would be arriving on June 26. He also revealed the song’s cover art, showing Lambert clad in all black and sitting on a white ledge, with an Art Deco-style font, perhaps indicating another retro-style track.
Back in May, Lambert revealed the first single off of his new album, “New Eyes,” a groovy ‘70s-rock track about gaining a new perspective from a lover. The song came with an accompanying video, which Lambert confirmed would be the case for “Comin in Hot” as well. When a fan commented on his post asking whether or not there would be a video, Lambert simply replied with a “yes!!!”
In an interview with Hunger back in May, Lambert further teased fans about the sound of his upcoming album, saying that it wasn’t nailed down to any particular genre or era. “It’s an album that’s very timeless in my opinion,” he said. “Sonically it references a lot of the music I heard in the house growing up: it’s retro. There are a lot of '70s and '80s choices in there and it lives in a world that is a fusion of new and old -- it definitely has a vintage edge to it.”
