Glad I've been doing something right in RTing Adam tweets. I have noticed that he seems to get more likes than RTs so seems many folks are more into just hitting the like button.

Each component of the Social 50 is measured a bit differently and the formula is not published. But overall, it is a measure of the level of engagement. Twitter and Facebook Likes do appear to count.
NextBigSound licenses two charts to Billboard: The Next Big Sound Chart is a weekly chart of the fastest accelerating artists across the Internet and the Social 50 (absolute social media popularity). The Social 50 chart is calculated by a proprietary formula where aggregate Friends/Fans/Followers make up (on average) 60% of the chart’s overall points with Views/Plays accounting for 30%, and Reactions 10%. The final ranking also includes a unique derivative metric. These percentages are subject to change as we measure the marketplace and see various metrics growing or decreasing in importance.
> ETA: I confirmed with a friend at Billboard "Twitter Likes are in the Reactions" component. But since reactions are a small component and there are so many FB Likes, mean close to nothing.
The following is modified from the BTS Army -- and they are the masters of the Social 50. 1. FACEBOOK Official FB Page: www.facebook.com/AdamLambert Now Like + Follow their page. Also regularly like their posts and comment on some. Share their page with friends/on other SNS too!2. INSTAGRAM
Official Instagram Page: www.instagram.com/AdamLambert/ Follow & Like + Comment on their posts 3. TWITTER For Social 50, data from his official Twitter account and official Twitter account tags are the only things considered. Official Twitter: twitter.com/https://twitter.com/adamlambert Follow + Re-tweet + Mention ‘@adamlambert’ (in other words, tag his account, regularly reply to him, when creating Adam related threads make sure to tag them) + Like4. YOUTUBE There is more than one official Adam Lambert YT but the best channel to focus on is his current channel.
The WBR channels also count. Something like the Ellen Show YT channel does NOT count. Subscribe + View MVs & videos + Like & Comment on as many you can. Share their MVs / videos and the channel for greater Social 50 impact. 5. WIKIPEDIA Official Wikipedia page: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BTS_(band) Click + stay on the page for 3-5 minutes to ensure it is counted as a page view. 6. VEVO Official VEVO page counts. View + like all the MVs + page 7. SONGKICK Official Songkick: www.songkick.com/artists/2436746-adam-lambertNOTE: I cannot determine if QAL counts for Adam or not. It depends how Queen set this up. What is Songkick? - “Songkick is an American technology company that provides concert discovery services and ticket sales for live music events. Songkick’s web and mobile app allows users to track touring artists, receive alerts for concerts in their area…” To help with Social 50, Follow + ‘Track’ Adam's page.

I am not sure how much the Social 50 matters right now -- the K-Pop fans dominate it and have gamed it. It certainly have no industry respect.
BTS Spends 100th Straight Week at No. 1 on Social 50 Chart
Democracy and social media are great equalizers, and this week’s Social 50 chart is the perfect example of it with a historic ranking dominated by K-pop artists. The Billboard chart, which tracks the popularity and reach of different musicians on social media, for the week of April 14 came out on Tuesday to reveal that the top six spots were taken up by Korean groups: BTS, EXO, NCT, Monsta X, GOT7, and Wanna One, respectively. Girl group TWICE, the only female Korean act to appear on the chart this week, took the No. 8 spot, while Cardi B, The Weeknd, and Harry Styles filled up the rest of the top 10. In a display of the wide-reach of the K-pop industry in 2018, a dozen Korean acts in total appeared on the chart, only two of which aren't boy bands.
