But wasn't Brian making more of a comparison between Paul and Adam? And why Adam is a better fit than Paul. But I guess it does not have the same outrage factor unless you make it between Adam and Freddie, lol. Yes! It is all a comparison between Adam and Paul, except for the line "Adam can do all the stuff that Freddie did and more" which is a comparison between Adam and Freddie. I'm sure the "and more" is especially irksome to the Freddie purists. But as Brian and/or Roger has pointed out before, Freddie could not hit all of the higher notes night after night during a tour and Adam can. It is a very different thing to hit notes for a studio recording and being able to do the same thing on tour.

I think you are thinking of a different article. Brian said this recently and it has been all over the media. A few days ago in our entertainment section of The Sun paper ---there was this same type of article and the quotes re Adam/Freddie comparison. (The picture of Adam was a good size and an old shot of him with his short lived red hair! Mind you when he was in Calgary his hair was that red color.) Also on the same day just above Adam's article there was an article on the top selling artists and bands right now with QAL being on top due to the popularity of the movie BR...etc. etc. Nice to see so much coverage for Adam and the links with Queen. Nope. I'm thinking about the interview that Brian gave in Guitar World. All these other articles just took quotes from that. I still think Brian was saying why Adam was a better fit than Paul. Yes, there were lots of comparisons with Paul...but this quote below is what I am referring to--and why I am confused by perhaps the intent of what you mean. From the article in Guitar World--- short and sweet it is about Adam versus Freddie. "Now, with Adam, it’s a different story, because Adam can do all the stuff that Freddie did and more. It doesn’t matter what you throw at Adam — he can do it. Those words are more news worthy than the Paul and Adam history. Whoops Dancy Georgia. Beat me to it....got busy prepping part of dinner ...haha

I have an extra VIP Platinum ticket to the sold out QAL show in Phoenix. Just saw today, only 2 tickets available which are one row behind mine for $750 each. Rather than selling my ticket, I've decided to give it to a 77 year old who loves Adam and Queen and cannot afford to buy one herself. While the practical side of me says I'm crazy - my husband only has Social Security and I used last year's work bonus to pay for the tickets, my heart tells me differently. It's more important to give someone the once in a lifetime experience of seeing and hearing QAL live than to sell the ticket. Please tell me, as ardent ADAM and QUEEN fans, that I haven't lost it completely.

Posting this series of Nancy Sinatra tweets since it is a great message for the 4th of July holiday and there are lots of links between Nancy and Adam. She has been a great Adam supporter and was his neighbor for a while when he lived in the condo building. Plus Frank Sinatra was a great singer!
Nancy Sinatra Verified account @nancysinatra 3h3 hours ago Written by my father in 1991: 1."I'm a saloon singer, by self-definition. Even my mirror would never accuse me of inventing wisdom. But I do claim enough street smarts to know that hatred is a disease-a disease in the body of freedom, eating its way from the inside out,
2/ infecting all who come in contact with it, killing dreams and hopes of millions of innocents with words, as surely as if they were bullets....
"Take a minute. Consider what we are doing to each other as we rob friends and strangers of dignity as well as equality...
3/For if we don't come to grips with this killer disease of hatred, of bigotry and racism and anti-Semitism, pretty soon we will destroy from within this blessed country....
4/ "Don't just lip-sync the words to the song. Think them, live them. 'My country 'tis of thee, sweet land of liberty.' And when the music fades, think of the guts of Rosa Parks, who by a single act in a single moment changed America as much as anyone who ever lived....
5/ "I'm no angel. I've had my moments. I've done a few things in my life of which I'm not too proud, but I have never unloved a human being because of race, creed, or color.
6/ And if you think this is a case of he who doth protest too much, you're wrong. I couldn't live any other way...." ~ Frank Sinatra 1991
Especially start watching at 2:45!

That photo of Adam and Pharaoh in the car in so sweet. He may be taking him to summer camp at Eber's. I love this sweet comfortable photo. Is there any man on earth who has a better facial profile than Adam Lambert? NO.
Nancy Sinatra is a Glambert. We know that. Nice that she is remembering her dad and expressing some of his 1991 thoughts that are very applicable. now.

DancyGeorgia, Thank you. She keeps telling me to sell it but I know she really wants to go. Sometimes I think I really should be more realistic but, life is just too short.

Thank you, too, svca. I wasn't looking for compliments and I'm probably the same as all of you which is why I asked the question. Guess I'm just looking for support in this decision. (If I told my husband or my boss, they wouldn't hesitate to tell me to sell the ticket.)

You sound like you're a bit like me...there is nothing that gives me more joy than gifting someone with something unexpected. I inherited that from my Mom, she used to do that all the time.
