I don’t get what he means ‘pink elephant was addressed’ ..... (I know what the pink elephant in the room is but why mention it and why ‘addressed’?) One of those times when whatever is meant, you know you don’t like it. (Happy to be told that it’s a wonderful little message) Adam addressed the pink elephant in the room about not being Freddie, etc... he gave the same speech as before the new and improved version. There's a clip of his speech posted either on today's thread or yesterday's..

Thanks Pi....but why pink though? What kind of point is that? I’m liking this tweet less and less....I’ve taken against it and there’s no moving me now. (Also my edit above...)

It sure looks like the MS show was a rousing success! I wasn't sure how "big" the show would be, staging wise, etc. We knew it wasn't going to be the whole shebang from the regular tour shows. Sounds like it was a fairly long show, too.
I'm sure there were many there who had never seen Queen or QAL or Adam before. This show was a great initiation!

Adam used that term, but here's a definition from the Urban Dictionary: A "pink elephant in the room" is a phrase used to say that there is something very obvious, one cant miss it, yet no one wants to be the person to point it out or talk about it. Its assumed that everyone has noticed it. It may be that pointing it out is politically not correct, impolite, or offensive. Lol your edit.. I thought he made that reference to pink elephant just because Adam used that term..

I noticed that people who don't have to buy a ticket to see QAL, often don't get the billing right as in the case with the Microsoft crowd. They often left Adam's name out entirely in their tweets and IG posts, and just used "Queen" or "@queenwillrock" when talking about who was performing. One person thanked Brian and everyone else, including Adam, was relegated to "the band". Some did mention Adam by name, but relatively few.

There's a clip of his speech posted either on today's thread or yesterday's.. If anyone is still expecting Freddie after all these 26+ years they are just stupid. I wish QAL could just accept their brilliance and stop treating themselves as less than without him. Do fans miss Freddie? Yes some do if they are old enough to have seen him. But most are there to enjoy the group as it is now. Otherwise they would not be there. It seems like too much work and effort is put into the show, to please the fans, to play second to someone who is not there. I don't even watch the videos anymore with the speech. I always fast forward past it when I re-watch TSMSO documentary. It feels like pandering, instead of honoring Freddie, after all this time (in my opinion only as others may feel differently). Of course someone will always repeat it as validation that Queen + Adam are lacking something. Why make it so easy for them? It may have made sense 6 years ago but not now. If any feel that strongly about it, and are unable to accept Adam, they are probably not coming to the shows anyway.
