The release of the Playmobil number (title is too long to type) reminded me that we have a special thread called "Holy Sh!t, that's ADAM???" A collection of different styles and genres that Adam has performed. I have neglected the thread for several years, and tried to catch up with it this morning. Please add videos you think should also be there. Go to adamtopia.com/thread/975/holy-sh-adam-voice-versatile

I guess I should really get out of the Daily News thread every once in a while and explore Atop lol....I'm sure there are lots of really interesting places to visit. Kind of a reflection of real life...now that I'm retired, I find myself reluctant to leave my house...need to go out and explore!

I wonder if Adam had to practice the song? Or if there even is any way to practice something like that? Like Toramenor stated, there is so much happening in a little over 2 minutes, it seems to me that it would be difficult to replicate. Somebody should ask Lino (or maybe already have and I missed it). Forgot to say earlier (in my very lengthy post lol) that I really enjoyed reading that interview, especially all the little extras (luggage, hair etc). Very enjoyable read... Definitely practiced, played with the song, tried different stylings, watched clips of the character, talked with the director and composers, and probably recorded several different versions. In the recent interview he said he tried a nuanced version but the director said he wanted more, more, more. I believe Adam dedicates himself to whatever song he is going to perform and plays with it, tweaks it, reimagines it until he finds the perfect version. My question is, when creating animated films like this, do the actors/singers record the vocals first and then the illustrators match the voice, or vice versa?

Good Morning All! It’s been some time since I’ve signed on here, but I do stop by from time to time. 😉 My reason for today’s appearance: I have 2 tickets to Tuesday’s show at MSG and I am unable to go, so I’d like to see if anyone here is interested them. I’m selling them at face value: FLOOR SECTION 3 Row 15 Seats 9 & 10 $195.00 each I printed the tickets out when I placed order months ago, so not sure how to transfer. I think I can do it online? I didn’t see a thread for selling tix, but if I missed it, please let me know and I’ll move this. Thanks in advance!!! The TALCvids ladies ate looking for MSG 1st night tickets. You can find them in twitter.

Just a quick pit stop, after hearing the new song from Playmobil The Movie. SPECTACULAR . It reminded me somewhat of that performance from Hair simply because of how he changed the tone and colour of his voice, but I would venture to say that this performance is even more difficult and sublime. He goes all over the place, from whisper to big belting, through ten different kinds of laughter-singing, all those little characterization add-ons that influence each and every word. I mean, wow, nobody could sing this song like he did, not even some famous Broadway stars... It kind of makes me wish he were more in theatre, even though I understand he wants to be more of a pop singer, but oh, that voice is made for this kind of singing, with thousand variations and the level of difficulty through the roof. His technique is masterful, his ability to interpret and inhabit a character simply outstanding - only through the voice. Every single animation movie after this needs to offer Adam Lambert a singing role, unless they're tone deaf, that's all. Yes! One Conviction comes to mind for sure! And EVERY word is clear, which always amazes me! Also too short ...i a could definitely take another minute or too agree with everything else you said. overall IMO: a real candy for the fans. The song will not go anywhere beyond the movie due to both the message and the style. One of those “I wish to be wrong” feelings... going back to the new audio candy..

Everything I've seen is that the voices are done first. They might have a variety of sketches. I think Lino talked a bit about it in his tweets. What I want to know is how was the music presented. How does he know the tune, or the timing?
