I think "ain't" is often used simply because it has one syllable instead of two. "Isn't" has two syllable and doesn't always fit into the flow of the line. "Ain't is a casual, non-standard word that fits the tone and informality of a song. I don't think it's that deep. Doesn't bother me even though I taught HS English. LOL There's a time and place for everything.
As to Superpower and Velvet, if Adam says that Queen's influence will be in the album, then there better be some big-voice songs with MAJOR hooks. Quiet, breathy, slower songs are fine, even beautiful. But Adam's trademark is his big voice. Ghost Town was the last song Adam had that was close to a hit. It was quirky and different and attracted attention. He says there will be more videos with his new songs. Hope so.
Superpower needs to live up to its title. It needs to smack us in the face with vocal power and a monster hook. No more "mellow" for a while. We've had a few "mellows" from Velvet. I think we're more than ready for an ear-popper with some big visual and a few glory notes thrown in. ANYTHING that will bring this song attention. Heck, maybe even some Queen fans would give it some support.

Just for fun regarding the "aint" youtu.be/H4vxWJKDL8AOn the Promotion of Superpower: I didnt really expect much promo before the song is released. I expect a handful of performances when it is out. I still believe that the promo we've seen was just the tip of the iceberg and the song will get the whole treatment, when it's out, including a push to radio. We will see in just a a few days 😁 girldrummer the remark about appealing to Queen fans made me hope that He might perform it with them on their tours and had Brian ever promotet any of Adams music before?

Gaga is cis-female, so I took the first him as heterosexual and I took the capitalized HIM as a religious reference. I have proven many times that I can be totally wrong, does H.I.M. refer to something else? I think Her Infinite Majesty sounds good. H.I.M. the Finnish band was named after "His Infernal Majesty", in other words Satan. The top answers in Quora claim that it might mean "love God or Satan", or "love man or God". www.quora.com/What-does-capital-H-I-M-in-Lady-Gagas-Born-this-Way-refer-toI tend to agree with the former, since Lady Gaga used periods to denote an abbreviation, and spoke it as an abbreviation too... Ahhh, I was not aware of the Finnish band and both those interpretations work, but I agree with you, thesis/antithesis makes more sense.

Oh my gosh!! That GMA segment was spectacular!!! Those close ups of Adam were amazing 🔥 and took my breath away!! I absolutely love Adam's all girl band ( hope the cute little drummer loses her gum for future performances tho) I don't know how you got that behind the scenes view but thank you sooo much!! Loved every second of it!! Such a dreamy look!

Bravo Adam!!! If it is close to as good as Gaga's "Born This Way" I will be thrilled!!!! Even if the song is meant to be a general empowerment anthem, I do hope that it will wake up the gay community a bit. Fingers crossed for a high energy and catchy vibe.

Gay anthem, empowerment anthem or anything? I would really like to see something promoted and takeoff for Adam that highlights his incredible talent and voice. Maybe it is too late for that with his current situation. But if no one hears the music, on a wider scale, it will be hard to resonate with anyone other than the fans he has already. He has tried to appeal to his community before but few got on board, if they were not already there. Not sure why it would be different this time. He is still not a female diva and that seems to be all that really matters. Support for them is automatic, strong and never ending. Adam is a handsome and hot and talented man who appeals to more women. He is an excellent role model and offers great encouragement for the young ones in his community but his greatest appeal and fans are still outside his community. He openly promoted "New Eyes" as the chosen single because of his boyfriend and how he made him feel. Did it make a difference in his community? I saw no evidence that it did. It certainly did not do as well on Itunes as "Feel Something" which was more universal. Imo, he would have a better chance if he really made an effort to target more Queen fans. He says that he is doing that with Velvet but I haven't really heard any music yet that shows that he is. But maybe there is something there. But like always, it will probably be only his fans who get to hear it. Ain't does not bother me. It is used often in music or in general. That will not make or break the success of his song. From what I have heard so far, I don't really get the vibe of a Queen connection, but that may change. I guess the range for the 70's vibe is pretty wide, and as always I am super hopeful for the next song to be "it". I think we can speculate as much as we want, and I personally do not believe in a conspiracy theory, but if the song is really good (and not just good) more people will get on board. It is a competitive field out there and in order to land a hit it takes a combination of a lot of factors. Of course it helps if you are already on everybody's radar.

Like a major label to get you a lot of radio play and on the big important streaming playlists. We have already been told over and over that Empire cannot do that for him. That has been proven true so far. So where is the path for this big hit? Without some miracle, I don't think it will happen no matter how good his music is. I guess if it lands on a tv commercial that could break it but I think that is a management type of thing.
