There's a lot of them that are seriously delusional, they honestly think if they'd known Marc before Adam they would have chosen him but they are "stuck with Adam now" because of a contract or not wanting to hurt his feelings 🤦♀️ or any number of other ridiculous theories including he had a huge fan base to bring to the shows because no actual Queen fan would go etc. It's truly pathetic the rubbish they come up with and probably the reason Brian put that comment on his instagram the other week and Roger said what he did on the documentary. I think they'd both had more than enough of Martel's fans, they really do him no favours whatsoever. Alternative facts! The truth is Queen Extravaganza was the brainchild of Roger who said there were so many Queen tribute bands, he wanted to put one together that was really good. Roger, and perhaps Brian, chose MM from those auditioning to imitate Freddie in the band. So, yes, they absolutely were aware of MM before anyone else was. But, they didn't hear his audition and say, "Gee, this guy is great! Let's forget Queen Extravaganza and just get MM to front us on tour around the world." Marc was never considered for the task. Brian and Roger have both said they were not looking for a new frontman. They figured their time performing as Queen was over. Until Adam showed up and they heard and experienced the magic. These facts have been stated over and over, but these days, we are being taught that facts don't matter, right? It's crazy the theories Martel fans come up with, even when presented with the facts that if they had wanted Marc they could have asked him they say well they'd already signed Adam by then, they live in their own alternate reality, they really can't comprehend why Brian & Roger could possibly prefer Adam or not want a Freddie soundalike, their most ridiculous theory is Brian gets all the attention now and he'd be out shined with Marc lol. You really couldn't make up some of the rubbish they spout. I'm just glad Brian & Roger finally said what they did.

He stands out is my mind because he competed on The Voice and mostly wore black and the Adam type gloves and guyliner (I know Adam was not the first to wear either, lol). He had a good voice (has been on Broadway) and was very dramatic, even sang "We Are The Champions," but he did not last long. But I don't think his fans were running around claiming he should front Queen instead of Adam.

You really couldn't make up some of the rubbish they spout. I'm just glad Brian & Roger finally said what they did. Brian and Roger chose Adam for the EMA's in Nov. 2011. He did not start touring with them until later. There was more than enough time to put the very special MM in that spot before they "signed" Adam, lol. It is pretty obvious they already knew about Mr. Martel. They passed. The demand for Queen touring was because of the performance with Adam. Brian and Roger said their phone was ringing off the hook. It was not because of the Christian rock singer Marc Matel. He had nothing to do with it so why would he be rewarded with the gig? In September 2011, Martel entered a competition to join Roger Taylor's (original drummer for the rock band Queen) official Queen tribute project The Queen Extravaganza with a video of Martel singing along with the Queen classic "Somebody to Love". It generated more than one million views on YouTube after being up for only a few days[2][3] and as of May 2019 it has almost 19 million views.[4] This led to an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show a week following the release of the video. Martel went on to be one of the winners of the competition[5][6][7] which led to a six-week tour with The Queen Extravaganza in 2012.[ en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marc_Martel

No way to know for sure but people do seem to love him doing that type of thing.
