Lovin all the press about the Avicii tribute concert. I'm assuming he'll sing Lay Me Down. I loved the version he did on the TOH tour with all the dancing....guess with a 30 piece orchestra he'll do it more conventional.
Superpower is very funky/dancy. The guitar part is really cool. Couldn't tell a whole lot about the vocals from the snippet....it seems a little muddled to me but I'll reserve judgement until I hear the whole song. IDT the purpose of this "banger" is clear vocals....lol.

The show will feature 19 of the original singers on some of the late DJ/producer's most beloved tracks performing with a 30-piece band during the two-hour Avicii Tribute Concert for Mental Health Awareness. Proceeds will support the work of the new Tim Bergling Foundation, named for the musician who died of suicide in April 2018. His songs “Wake Me Up!,” ″Addicted to You” and the posthumous “SOS” topped the dance music charts. The show at Friends Arena will open with headline DJ sets from a number of Avicii's friends, including David Guetta, Kygo, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Laidback Luke and Nicky Romero. “Tim had plans for his music to be performed together with a large live band, and now we are realizing his dream and giving fans a chance to experience his music in this unique way,” said Klas Bergling, Avicii's father in a statement. The concert will feature many of the singers, including Adam Lambert and Rita Ora, who were on Avicii’s recordings and it will mark the first time many of them have been performed the songs live. Among the other acts slated for the show: Alex Ebert, Aloe Blacc, Amanda Wilson, Andreas Moe, Audra Mae, Blondfire, Bonn, Carl Falk, Dan Tyminski, Daniel Adams Ray, Joe Janiak, Nick Furlong, Otto Knows, Sandro Cavazza, Simon Aldred, Vargas Lagola and Zack Abel, with more to be announced later. I would appreciate someone posting the youtube of the Avicii interview when he named Lay Me Down as his favorite track on his album. Thx so much. It has been posted before ...google not easy ro find it. I will save it this time. Media reported --- true or not --- re the control his manager had over the decision to credit only Avicii for songs on the True album. At one point I thought -- they did get Wake Me Up to a world wide hit -- so a good choice for lead single. Even though Avicii loved LMD they did not choose it for top three single releases. I can understand an artist having a fave song on an album, yet it not being right for lead singles. However, I loooove that song, and now wonder if Adam was too big a presence that the focus would have been shared with Nile and Adam, therefore LMD not being in the major releases for a singular focus--"Avicii" . Just my own thoughts/ theory...haha. Aloe Blac did become recognized anyway, and I am glad he did get recognized. I could not name the next singers of the next singles though. Most of the other singers I had never heard of. Now duets by top artists, crossing over fan bases is the recipe for big hits! Too bad one of my fav Adam songs, on that True album could not have been more "truthful" in their advertising and promotion of the vocal artists. I had a DJ at my nephews wedding find LMD and play it. No one left the dance floor...danced away...told a few who it was--- Avicii-- then slipped in Adam Lambert. Got a few big eyes ...like OH...Adam Lambert. More respect builds in tiny steps.

Just to add to all the vibes, I am getting a little Sly and the Family Stone
In that little bit there is something for Dr. Bri to play and something for Neil, I hear a very funky bass line. Can't wait to hear the whole thing.
