Heck You need a promo code for today's presale for El Rey. Wonder what it is?
Now it says tickets no longer available. What a crock. lol
Nothing in ALF dashboard either. Must not have been a fan presale, but something else.

I thought I read something here that made me dismayed and now, thank goodness, it's gone. If you're a fan, you should support the artist. That doesn't mean you can't be critical of merch that is put out for sale but to say the artist doesn't need the money - WHAT???? Do you think fans of Queen would say that or even think that? Maybe Adam is too down to earth and needs to elevate himself to the point that we don't equate him with ourselves. It's not about the money but about showing our support for the artist. Sorry if I offended anyone but this really bothered me. IMHO some folks were taking 1 sentence in a whole paragraph out of context! Although the person could have worded it better by going into more of an explanation.
The paragraph was about what an artist gets from including a digital album download with a t-shirt purchase versus what the artist gets from an album sale from a music outlet such as iTunes store or Amazon. The artist album included with the t-shirt sale does not count in the billboard numbers while the album sale from a music outlet does. However, the artist gets more money from the combined sale of the t-shirt + digital album than from the sale of the digital album from the music outlet. So it comes down to whether the artist is more in need of the money or the billboard numbers.
A starving artist may be in immediate need of the money from the t-shirt + digital album sale to fun touring or further album writing/production, or just for living. But Adam already has enough money to more than cover these costs and is therefore not in need of the money form the t-shirt + digital album sales to fund immediate expenditures.
I suspect that Adam is in more need of the Billboard number that buying an album from a music outlet will bring, as that helps in getting a tour promoted and funded. But I think most of the fans who buy the merchandise will also buy form a music outlet.

Sorry if I offended anyone but this really bothered me. It’s in yesterday’s thread, it’s not gone and there was nothing wrong with the statement. The discussion was whether or not buying a T-shirt translates to streams, it does not. Adam needs streams more than t-shirt money, this is the truth. Now that being said, bundling the (imo ugly) T-shirts with a digital download doesn’t affect his streaming numbers , but it adds to his his EP sales. So if you like a shirt and want to support that way, great. Or want another download with a free t-shirt is another way to look at it.

I looked back at yesterday's thread and you are right, it is about digital album vs streams rather than digital album bundled with t-shirt vs digital album from music outlet. Digital albums never count as streams, but rather a certain number of streams count as a digital album for Billboard numbers.
But that brings up the question of just what exactly is included in the Billboard numbers. Some artist have included either physical or digital albums with purchase of a concert ticket. As I remember, this caused a big outcry about fairness. I thought that these album included with sales subsequently not counted for Billboard. Anyone know for sure?

Speaking of Billboard numbers, here is an article with good advice. It was about helping another artist, but same applies to Adam. There is more in the article about digital albums and streaming.
How to Buy Physical Albums
Online: If you live in the U.S. or Canada, only buy physical copies from official preorder links on Amazon, Target, Best Buy, and Walmart. You can only buy 5 or fewer albums on the same account for the sales to count towards Billboard 200. It doesn’t matter whether you buy them all at once or over several days. If you want to buy more than 5 copies using another account, use a different device/IP to be safe.
Retail: Love Yourself: Tear will be stocked be in Target on release day, and hopefully Walmart and Best Buy as well. Again, you can only buy 5 or fewer albums on one receipt for the sales to count towards Billboard 200. Nielsen counts scans of separate barcodes as sales, so you do not need to worry about buying each album on a separate receipt.

People seem to be really upset at the adjustment's made by YT on the Superpower video. Guess he lost over 40,000+ views. Wish I knew how that worked and why they do it. Does it happen to all video's?
