I know some say no one cares about good singers nowadays. But I think with Adam, he has always been known for having outstanding vocals since his Idol days. And it got him a lot of attention. So when songs are released that don't highlight that, many wonder what was the fuss all about? But when he does (even if singing someone else's song) they go nuts because he stands out. Anything you do to set yourself apart and show your strengths is a positive. He did it with Believe, Girl Crush, The EMA's and Iheart, even with some big radio hit darlings and performers performing too. But who were they all talking about when it was over and why? SP is the single (wonderful song and message) and we will continue to support it with fingers crossed. But I am glad he is getting so much attention for CTY because it is pretty extraordinary and shows Adam at his best, imo.

I too am addicted to CTY and the video. I agree that this is Adam at his best when singing his own material (with QAL he is on another planet). He can elicit so much emotion in me with vocals such as this - truly one of my all time favorites of his solo work. And I love the video even more than the recorded version. How many singers can outperform their recordings when they sing live?!! (especially in the pop world culture of today).
Interesting insights and observations, Q3. It's so heartwarming to see this young generation becoming addicted to Queen and QAL (and our marvelous Adam). Definitely could see that when attending the Rhapsody tour - many more "youngsters" in the audience singing their lungs out, and knowing all the words. And I agree that the Bo-Rhap movie was a huge influence.

borneobert : An all-Adam Lambert #VelvetSideA meal! Starter #CloserToYou. Main #Superpower. Dessert ##Overglow. I ordered my perfect meal yesterday. "Loverboy" for an appetizer, "Superpower" as the main course, and "Closer to You" for dessert (well, it had to be in there). I asked for a drink after the meal, which would be "Overglow" for me.

That's to me where Adam's strength lies and how he sets himself apart. In terms of the recorded EP, I see myself playing "Loverboy" and "Overglow" a lot lately. I too appreciated Q3's observations regarding new QAL demographics. I can only hope that those new fans will also check out Adam's solo material. I am still surprised that not more fans who discovered Adam through Queen are on board for "Velvet".
