I noticed a post in twitter below that the now lead singer of Queen Extravaganza stated that Marc Martel only sang two lines in the movie BR. Okay ---interesting. I think this fandom knew it was minimal bridges to the story line. Anyway, I thought...gee I am going to Google this fella and see what is out there on Youtube. I am sorry I looked. Before clicking off ---get to the 2:00 + mark. Actually surprised he was chosen for this gig. A few comments indicate he has a heavy metal type take on Queen songs, and they like it. NOT me...haha...not my cuppa... Lol! That was kinda scary... pitch? What pitch?

Yikes. Oh, well. No accounting foe taste. Good validation here that MM's contribution to BR was minimal.

I can't begin to imagine the agony Adam must feel missing this promotion. Ironically just this week i ran across an article that also mentioned measles and how they whipe your immune-memory. I don’t understand what the measles research has to do with Adam given the MMR vaccination is not only common practice in the US but a pre-req for attending a public school in CA (I know in NY too, I didn’t check other states)... The context to Adam was that he is sick again and people thought that If you have measles you can get sick again easily if it whipes out our immune-memory. Measles would be quite krass and i don't think he'd be fit after a few days.

Adam's generation should all have been vaccinated against measles. (Same age as my kids.)
I grew up before vaccines were available, so I suffered through measles, rubella, chicken pox, which I wouldn't wish on anyone. Somehow missed on mumps. But then the vaccines were developed. I can remember - must have been when I was 10 or 11 - that the vaccines were made available en masse at clinics set up in the public schools. (Can't imagine that happening today.)

There are many anti-vaxxers who don't vacinate their kids - some states it's pretty easy to object to it and not have to do it. Measles is one of the big ones anti-vaxxers don't like because of the one doc that related it to autism without proof. So quite easy for someone his age and especially those younger to not be vaccinated against it. But I'm quite sure that Q3 was not suggesting Adam had the measles. It was just an interesting article that it seems many of us saw - it was on Bill Maher that night too. So it was just brought up because we were discussing being sick and that it was interesting that one illness could be linked to other unassociated illnesses later in life.

This is supposed to be a virulent flu season as noted by cases in Australia last month. As a result, the flu vaccine has been recommended for everyone. It is supposed to be more effective than last year's vaccine against several strains.
