I look at it that they and their team can fly out - so 20 peeps on the private jet and whatever it takes for crew and stage or the 30,000 that came to the show each night could fly in.
So 50 peeps flying one long hop over and then some island hoping or 30,000 times 3 shows a week or 90,000 peeps flying the long hop each week. I think there's an argument that can be made that they are conserving resources by travelling to the crowd instead of the crowd travelling to them.

I'm really loving Adam's voice on this tour and a few of the outfits are ok. I can't help myself saying this, I'm hating his over the top stage makeup. Looks like Boy George to me, he might be going for that. I so loved his look at Isle of Wright and I Heart. Adam's face and body of course, his choice. I'll just enjoy the out of this world voice. I can relate to your feelings about the OTT stage make-up. Some like it though.

I'm ok with the heavier makeup now and then. Adam has so many looks. I like him with a lighter look, too. Adam is one of the few men who actually look good in eye make-up. I don't mean the over-the-top stage version, like we're seeing on the tour now, but just the everyday type of eye enhancement. It looks natural on him because his own features are so naturally beautiful. The makeup just emphasizes it a bit. The stage makeup is over the top just for fun. Adam has done it for years and likely isn't going to stop any time soon.

I think the lighter "eye enhancement" make-up works well for him, but the heavy stage make-up that we get to see currently is quite "distracting" for me. I really thought he had moved on from Glamnation, but now I suspect that "more is more" has always been somewhat in him and thus needed to make a return. The comparatively rather "toned down" look as of iHeart, Isle of Wright, Rock in Rio, or even his first QAL tour in 2014/2015 worked better for my taste.

Queen has a bigger team than 20 to 50 people...more like 200-300 there is also commercial which can be accessed specialy in Business and first class and if you have such a big crew you don't have to worry about strangers caughing in your face. I'll be honest it was almost a unfollow from me last night. Which doesnt mean i wouldn't support the music anymore and i'd still admire Adam as a vocalist and performer but i'm more than over fashion-gucci posts and feeling the need to flaunt the private jet. ...the "the only way to fly" comment was more than a little arrogant. I'm having a bitchy one today, excuse my grumpy ass. This all may sound very harsh, i know Adam has a very differnt side to him, which is why i am a fan but that post yesterday didnt sit well with me. Just like in a good relationship, you don't break up because of one bad day, you get past it and see the deeper things.

marionm - as a person who has had my share of grumpy ass days, feel free to pull up a chair right next to me. That's me in the middle Please don't take this as apologist because it is absolutely not, but back in the mid-80s there was a very famous ad campaign for (now defunct) Western Airlines whose slogan was "It's the only way to fly" and the phrase took off and became part of everyday vernacular. You might call it a pre-meme meme because the phrase was used for everything. Many people probably don't even remember where the phrase started but I am sure Adam heard it often growing up. I never know what young people are aware of and what they are not, so I can't say if this is new information to you - so if this is old-splaining ... sorry.

From my point of view, validating and expressing your feelings about something is never wrong. After all, we are only fans and followers to some extent, but we are not blind sheep. I can see how "the only way to fly" rubbed you the wrong way, while I actually sensed a good dose of sarcasm in it. Truthfully, it bothered me less than another "fashion-gucci" post (on a side note, not too long ago actually I learned that the clothing industry is the biggest polluter for our planet - it has an even bigger impact than airplanes)

Queen has a bigger team than 20 to 50 people...more like 200-300 Only to put the facts straight: When I did the backstage tour in 2017 I was told that the band and their close team (managers, tour director...) are about 16 -20 people and they are the ones traveling on the private jet. Then there is the crew. They lived in 3 double decker night cruiser (about 60 people) and traveled on the road, alongside the trucks. When they need to fly they get to take a commercial flight, economy class. Some of them keep posting from the road, so you can always see, what the crew is up to and where they actually are. The rest of the roadies are always locals, that help to build up and down the stage ect. About an extra 60 people in every city.

Havent had time to respond. LindaG23 No, i actually havent heared the phrase or the commercial. Interesting to know and does provide context. nightowl thanks for the Info. I thought i've heared higher numbers but i'll take your and their word on it. I know for instance that Vincent Weis (the "German Shawn Mendes) has a team of 200 people. He said so at his concert (a friend dragged me) and he does shows of about 5.000- 8.000 people. sizzling63 I've known that for maybe a year. Unfortunately the issue is so dire and complex that there is no one simple solution. We need to pull on all fronts. Edit: i've added tags i thought i had before
