I noticed too that Elton never seems to invite Adam to participate. He knows and is aware of Adam but for whatever reason. Not going to worry about it. There is no one on the show that I am interested in so wasn't planning to watch.
As for Adam and his streaming numbers, it has always been obvious to me that without being on the big streaming playlists and little radio (they mostly happen when you are on a major) he can't really compete on that level. I hope we can stop with the it is not cool to like him or he is unsafe. He is NOT on the radio big like some of the others so his exposure is limited. It is not that they are somehow cooler. Carrie and Sam get tons or radio support but I doubt it is because everyone thinks they are cool, lol. They have always enjoyed great major label support and push. We fans do what we can but I don't think anyone thought that he could get those top album spots. I appreciate the numbers that are posted here but not because I thought they were on par with the darlings, lol. I think we are more realistic than that even when we celebrate any of his numbers. And it is still nice to see a measurement of exposure and interest in him. Considering all that has happened with this release, Velvet has done fine.

Cleopatra, thanks for replying. I know how you feel. I too have bought my share of fan "stuff." It helps Adam and it makes me feel like a supportive fan. But even a fan who buys nothing is important, too. We do what we can. And you're right: It's NOT A JOB. It's ultimately a gesture from the heart, whether we spend money or not. It's been a long-time puzzlement as to why Adam's fan base does not grow, most importantly in the US. OZ and NZ are very strong fanbases. And the UK and some European countries, like Finland, are strong. Adam gets great respect in the music industry, and when he does some high-profile performance like the Kennedy Honors or the Oscars, he gets a lot of buzz. His music is as good as anybody. Maybe it's just not cool to like him. I dunno. He gets plenty of props for his voice from just about everyone. Maybe it's his image or persona that doesn't appeal to a wide audience. Good thing he has his core fans who are here for the long haul. Those are all good points- I still think part of it is that he really didn't do anything solo for the better part of 5 years. I can name plenty of people that I know fairly well but don't see all the time- when his name comes up they talk about how good he is- they always equate him with being the lead singer for Queen- don't realize he still has a solo career. Those that know me well are paying attention but a lot of them are older- won't stream - will buy an album. I think the promo he had lined up would have made people aware. Then all of this happens so it kind of stalls out everything. So I'll just keep listening and playing YouTube which I am partial to. I bought plenty of merchandise and will continue to do all of that. Frankly since I'm sitting at home by myself all day he is one of the things that's keeping me going. And even though I'm playing his other music also- I'm really thankful to have Velvet and am glad he went ahead with the release. Just my thoughts.

deb5anne, It's true that his main focus has been QAL for the past five years. It has occupied most of each of those year. Great for $$$$ and bad for solo awareness to the public. Now the virus stall. Without major label support and without much promo, it's really pretty amazing that Velvet is doing as well as it is. Like you, I'll just keep listening and viewing and streaming. I'd like to see Velvet keep a presence on the charts even if it's not near the top.

I think it will have another go around when things get back to normal.. IMHO, so smart of Adam to split the album in two.. side A got lots of coverage.

I think musicians are ok Off in this mess...actors, dancers what about the cinemas... movies are truly on hold. Musik can still be purchased and consumed and the Artists have ways to Connect and promote... although in a differnt way... movies that are in the line Up, theatre are fully stopped

Just WOW. Would love to see Adam....and others...do something like this!!! Amazing poignant song...and the words and melody ...beautiful. It is soft in tone and moving. It might make people think more -- definitely singing more to the converted than diehard HeWhoCannot amed, or his base. Mega dollars to produce the editing...the rest is her commitment to hope, for change. Well done Ms. Streisand.đź’” Adam has become more intetested and more politically vocal through words or written text, as have I. Our elected officials enrage me at times too! However, lots of folks/organizations with a lot big money/big names are doing media messages. Adam has said in words what his feelings are. Fans know and stay with him, or have left. If anything, perhaps a group effort would go further than an individual project. My nephew returned to Canada from working in many states for 8-9 mo a year, ( mostly NY area) for many years. He said on a facetime just this week that this virus "might be" HeWhoCannot ameds downfall. Might be...was rather tough to hear. I truly Thought that enough US people might swing the vote to Democratic votes, but he says many things are not fair and he bases it in on the way people around him talk about politics ( district lines, voting probems, uninformed or ill informed). Another nephew travels all around the US for business. He never wants to discuss politics as most freely discuss how terrific HeWhoCannot amed is. Rarely hears others vocalizing against him. Where are those voices. Do I live in a bubble reading and viewing so much Anti HeWhoCannot amed stuff? Because of this brief comment in our chat...It puts a funk on my view that change coming about is not as positive as I thought. Sorry ...Monday rant a day early.

Adam has said several times he doesn't have musicians right now and Shosh said the thing. This equipment he ordered came in sounds like he's working on it. I get the impression he wouldn't want to do something from Velvet halfway. It is too bad would have been great exposure.

This virus might be HeWhoCannot amed’s downfall IF all of his sheep die out, sorry to be blunt. They follow him so blindly, I’m sure they think he’s doing a “fantastic jaaaaab”. Morons and their messiah. It’s literally a cult.
The Democrats really need to come out and vote in this election.
