It's too bad that Andrew Cuomo is too busy saving the lives of the citizens in New York. However, I just watched Amy Klobuchar's interview with CNN. She is articulate, young, and I think has the ability to unite many. She is relatable because she is the face of everyone having to deal with the virus. Her husband has been released from the hospital after testing positive and being treated. I hope she is on the short list. I like Amy and I also hope she is on the short list. She lost me for a bit when she kept going after Mayor Pete. She seemed to be excessively resentful of him. And using being a woman as a reason why she was not doing as well as he. How could anyone ignore that being a gay man did not give him any advantage over anyone no matter the gender or race? He was just impressive and resonated with many. But I have gotten over that and now am back to really liking her chances for VP, lol.

I am the only mod on the thread at the moment, so I am stepping in to request the discussion on Presidents and presidential candidates cease. Yes, I know that Adam has occasionally expressed his views on that. But, it is a topic that is fraught with very strong opinions and feelings, and is only tangentially related to Adam. I will bet a month's pay that no one's opinions are going to be swayed by a post on this forum. And it will certainly piss people off and bring dissention and disharmony to what is supposed to be a place of refuge in this traumatic time. If Q3 decides that it is an acceptable topic here on the forum, she can lift my moratorium on the topic. But, for now, let's do our best to be glittery and golden, and focus on ADAM. Thanks.Cassie

deb5anne, It's true that his main focus has been QAL for the past five years. It has occupied most of each of those year. Great for $$$$ and bad for solo awareness to the public. Now the virus stall. Without major label support and without much promo, it's really pretty amazing that Velvet is doing as well as it is. Like you, I'll just keep listening and viewing and streaming. I'd like to see Velvet keep a presence on the charts even if it's not near the top. I don’t think, this is true. Adam has said several times, that QAL takes only about 2-3 months every year. The rest is free for his solo career. Adam had to work through management and label changes in the past 5 years. Including a time, when he had been in doubt about his career (remember the letter that came with Feel Something?). I think we cannot even imagine some of the obstacles he had to overcome until the release of Velvet. And Queen was never an obstacle. It’s actually the catalyst that makes it possible for him to be free in his solo career.

I notice One Republic is doing Jimmy Fallon from the basement Monday night. I'm really hoping Adam could come up with something like that. I know the lack of musicians is an issue for him and maybe there is no way around it.
Not sure how many of the shows he had scheduled are doing anything right now. I think GMA is that might be the only one. Maybe wishful thinking on my part but that would be one way to mitigate some of the cancellations. 💜

In fact I love that part of his career. And that letter got to me in a big way. I just meant because he hadn't released an album since 2015 a lot of people didn't realize he was still pursuing a solo career. I agree he has overcome a lot.

This virus might be HeWhoCannot amed’s downfall IF all of his sheep die out, sorry to be blunt. They follow him so blindly, I’m sure they think he’s doing a “fantastic jaaaaab”. Morons and their messiah. It’s literally a cult. The Democrats really need to come out and vote in this election. Your comment is very offensive to me, as American's we all have the right to vote for the ideals that are important to us and your opinion is no better or more important than mine. I could say exactly the same thing about Democrat voters that you said about HeWhoCannot amed voters. Maybe you should watch something besides MSNBC and CNN. If you want to continue this discussion/debate please do it in a private message. I will be deleting any further public discussion. If you disagree with my decision, please contact Q3, the administrator, and ask her to override my action.

Here is the thing, Cassie: hard to be be golden if we are being literally killed by the criminal negligence...that includes Adam...not to mention the start of “this plague is brought upon us by gays” bs by some “leaders” on the far right... I understand. I am battling with depression and fear and worry, too. There are many places online to express our feelings and opinions and outrage and political opinions. Just, please, not here, too. I am not telling anyone to shut up. I am saying please keep this forum as a safe place to escape for a time.

He had a lot of things going on professionally that were holding him back. I will be forever grateful that he had Queen financially and likely emotionally to get him thru some hard times. And I hope QAL will be around for years to come. It is the gift that keeps on giving. I can't even imagine what would have happened if they had not been there. And even if Adam had release a solo album a few years ago the results would have likely have been the same. Without a major label push, radio play and getting on big streaming playlists what would be different from now? Besides he released several singles over the years, since his last album, and without radio play they went nowhere. Some fans were very happy but they didn't reach anyone but the same fans. Didn't help to move his career forward they way fronting Queen did.
