I've had so many fabulous concert experiences and favorite performances. American Idol: Tracks of My Tears was THE performance I was completely ALL-IN. A Change is Gonna Come remains one of the most powerful performances I've ever seen. I rewatch that often. The Glam Nation Tour! I saw that in Milwaukee, 1/2 drunk on Schlitz. Adam gave us the "stairs" and we were all coming unglued! I saw the show again, meeting a fellow Glambert for the first time in Kansas. It felt so daring! Any worries were for naught and she is one of my most treasured friends to this very day. The show itself was again absolutely fabulous, but it was the entire experience with my new found friend that was unforgettable.
The first QAL in Chicago, TOH radio show in Chicago, Milwaukee, Minneapolis, Vegas...all were great. The Glam-parties with friends and family. What times we had!
THE most memorable, once in a lifetime performance: WATC-Houston 2016.
I had taken my daughter to see TOH in Milwaukee with a large group and she loved it! I attended QAL-St Paul without her and she was so hurt to have missed out. I promised I'd take her the next time around. She watched videos of the show day and night. She grew up on Queen, so knows all the words, but was diligently working on her hand claps. I secretly checked things out: There were only a few shows left on the tour. I was able to get 2nd row seats (Adam side) in Houston, a couple of plane tix and a Hotel. All at a reasonable price, to boot.
Telling her WE WERE GOING! was the most joyous moment of my life.
My daughter has autism. My friends and family were aghast that I would attempt to fly with her, cross country, on my own. She'd never flown before, but I felt she could handle it and made as many preparations as I could to smooth our trip and avoid the infamous meltdowns. My dear Glambert friend, alone, was encouraging. Much to my embarrassment, she had twittered Brian, contacted Jacky...informing them of what we were up to and where we were sitting. The trip went without incident. Our hotel was pet friendly, for her entertainment. There was the Aquarium, she loves that! Inexplicably it also housed white tigers, her other favorite. We attended the show and she did have a little trouble waiting for the start. The security guard picked up on that and was very helpful engaging her in a countdown. We sang, we danced, we hand clapped! She watched the guy and his leopard clad much, much younger escort making out in the row in front of us. We had a blast!! During the finale, as you all know, Tie Your Mother Down was added for the first time. We couldn't believe it ! "Our favorite song!!" (It has the word Mother in it) Halfway thru, I remembered the actions my friend had taken. We agreed they were playing it just for us! As the parent of a special needs child, well, it is rather restricting at times, so, maybe they HAD gotten the message?
Next was WATC. Tears began rolling down my face. Yes, we had done this, she and I, and loved every minute of it! My daughter noticed I was crying, "Because I'm so happy and proud of you!" Adam came to stand before us and caught my eyes. And sang as only he can sing: We are the champions. The tears kept flowing and we nodded our heads in unison, for what felt like an eternity...it was maybe 15 seconds! He left me a puddled mess and even turns back, to see how I was holding up. We WERE brave. We DID take a chance. I believed in my daughter and she proved she could. We did feel like champions and it meant alot to us, that Adam knew it and cared enough to recognize that...because of a dear friend who also believed in us.
TALC might wonder why this particular video has had so many views! I fear she might delete it and I don't know how to "save" it if anyone can help a girl out. "Our" moment is at 3:10-3:24

First of all, I hope Adam is learning a lot about his equipment and will HOPESULLY give us a bit of home-performance at some point. PLEASE, ADAM!
Try as I might I just can't come up with "favorites" when it comes to Adam's performances. I go from those now iconic Fantasy Springs shows to the Original High tour. Love Lay Me Down so much! I haven't been to a lot of live shows, but I have seen him at least once on each US tour, and I've seen three QAL shows. So I am enjoying the choices everyone is making here today.
And Brian sitting quietly and playing the Love Of My Life melody is just so gorgeous. I keep thinking about how lucky we are to have him in our lives, due to Adam.

"Our" moment is at 3:10-3:24 What a great story! If you want to download any youtube video, you can use an online converter, like this one notube.net/convert-en/enI use it all the time. If some ads pop up, just close them, and carry on. It is very simple, just follow the instructions. Go to this notube website, copy paste the URL link of the youtube video into the box - to the right is written MP3, but if you click on it, you will see a whole range of options, so if you want to convert it into a video format, you can choose MP4 or MP4 HD. Then click OK, and wait until the video is converted. After that just click on the download button. (This is when an ad might pop up, so just close it), and save the video on your computer. Depending on how fast your internet is and how big the file is that you are trying to download, it takes between a few seconds (for mp3s) or minutes (for mp4s), and I even managed to download full concerts, which took a while, maybe an hour or so, but it was worth it. Hope this helps you to preserve the video and the memory of your favourite performance.

missfeatherbottoms Love your story! sizzling63 Save Me was one of my go to songs during that tour. The person who shared the video you posted said some nice things about Adam. Due to circumstances, I've never seen Adam solo. I've been to four QAL concerts. My most memorable moment has to be in Vegas with mzsue and fiercelier when Adam gave me a high five during Radio Gaga. I loved getting that close to someone who I have admired from afar for so many years! I think that may have been one of the last times he came into the audience to do that.

I too love "Lay Me Down" which was a big highlight of TOH tour for me, along with the Runnin/Chokehold/Sleepwalker medley. Thankfully, LMD made a reappearance for the "Velvet" shows. I hope it will stay that way.

missfeatherbottoms , loved your write-up. I should have mentioned "Tracks of my Tears" in combination with ROF. I totally fell into the gutter with ROF but what makes the performance even more memorable and powerful for me was what followed a week later. Adam totally switched things up and slayed in a whole different way with TOMT. I was positively shocked. And Smokey Robinson was too. TOMT is to this date one of my favorite Idol performances, along with "If I Can't Have You". And I know exactly what you are talking about with the "Milwaukee stairs"... I wasn't there in person but I have watched the video countless times. A classic similar to FS WLL. I need to go back and find it. WATC-Houston 2016... what an incredible story!! You were brave and you trusted your instincts that it would be alright and wow(!) you and your daughter were rewarded big time!! Beautiful memories to keep forever All the best.
