Adam looked absolutely stunning on Corden. On The Moon is such a beautiful and haunting song and fit perfectly for an in home performance. But Adam still brought the fire and emotion and of course the vocals to one of my favorite songs. I love all of the ballads on Velvet. For the more funky or rockish songs my favorites are SP, Ready To Run, Loverboy and Love Don't but they are better suited for a stage where he can let loose. I also enjoyed his chat with James. They hit on some of the events of the day but didn't get too heavy. And James highlighted some big accomplishments in Adam's career. Well done.

Enjoyed the GLAAD panel very much! Hard to believe that Adam is a kind of mentor now, someone with experience and stories to tell and lessons to share. Great to hear him with the kids. And more fabulous outfits for the auction! NOW, the James Corden show! TBH, On The Moon has not been one of my faves on Velvet. A bit monotone-y to me. BUT this performance was a whole new level! I loved it so much! He gave it a lot of depth and jazzy blues touches. And he let his improv flourishes fly! I LOVED it! And his chat with James was very fun. They obviously like each other. They talked about silly stuff like his hair (fabulous, BTW) as well as the FS foundation and Adam's thoughts on current events. Adam never disappoints! Nice to hear that Velvet is already seeing a boost. 100% with you on this...Over the Moon is the track I am most likely to skip...it just has never appealed to me. He has one of these acy spacy tracks on every LP I think...perhaps not the first. But...this version is such a master class in vocal acuity and control that it was magnificent and I really enjoyed it! What an amazing performance...with no direct audience to feed off of....loved it.

Cleopatra, I am liking your theory that he may turn OTM into a kind of new-era WWL. In his expert hands, he could make it really work. He knows how to improvise really well and his band is certainly up to the challenge. He likes to take risks. That song just might become a real onstage show-stopper. Funny how a song that left me pretty cold has grabbed me like this. Of course, it's all about that magnificent voice.
I think James is always in awe whenever he has Adam on. He gets that stunned look on his face. LOL
