Oh, how I love that performance of Lay Me Down!! Thanks for posting those videos. Like so many of you, I'm reliving past performances by solo Adam and QAL. They're helping me to get through these dark days. Last year due to schedule conflicts with two family weddings, I had to travel much further than I usually do to attend two QAL concerts in DC and Philly. Travel by air is very difficult for me, so I debated whether to take that long trip by myself to unfamiliar places. But, I am SO glad that I did - who would have even imagined what 2020 would bring! And who knows when we'll be able to see our beloved Adam in concert again?! I'm still mourning the loss of the Vegas residency.
When I was staying in a lovely small cottage late last July in Potomac, Maryland, close to DC for my concert there, I vividly remember watching one of the Democratic debates. Kamala Harris really impressed me that night, and I was so hoping that Joe would choose her as his running mate. I'm delighted!
Deb5anne, (by the way, my name is Anne with an "e") this is a belated thank you for checking with Ticketmaster about our refunds. I've been fretting about that, but glad to hear that we'll receive them sometime in the near future. Since you're from the Detroit area, where I grew up, and you're obviously a fervent Glambert like myself, I hope to be able to meet you someday!

Here's a day brightner, "Don't forget life is a dance!" One of my favorite Adam live performances ever!! Lay Me Down at the Avicii Tribute Concert in Sweden on Dec. 5, 2019. It seems so long ago. That night everything was perfect to showcase Adam for the star he is. His looks, hair, clothing, shoes, orchestra accompaniment, background singers, huge audience, color coordinated stage background, voice on point, dance moves, sexy walk down the thrust, OMG! He stole the show that night! I hope to see him like this again SOON! The first video is the official version. The second, taken by a fan, zeros in on Adam the whole time and catches all his dance moves. And watch for how the background singers respond to his high notes. I've always loved Lay Me Down, as well as the back story about how Nile Rodgers called a hung-over Adam to come do the vocals without any notice. Thanks for bringing these over and pointing out the cool bits in the fan video, wildarose.
PS - I've always liked your avi - those boots.

Like everyone else I had so much planned for this year that went by the wayside. In addition to Vegas I was hoping to buy a ticket for Adam's Wembley show since I knew several people that were going and I've never been to London. Plus we had Washington DC planned and the Rock and Roll hall of Fame in Cleveland. One of my bigger disappoints about Vegas getting canceled is that I didn't get to meet people. Hopefully that will all come in the next couple of years. Add I also love that performance of Lay Me Down!

I was just reading an article about the impact of banning We-chat on Chinese foreign students in American universities, citing the centrality of the app to Chinese young people. So I checked it out...and both Twitter and Facebook are banned from China so we-chat...and I expect tik-tok are the Chinese controlled alternatives! Certainly we-chat is....So they want to keep American influence out while letting their influence in. Makes you think twice about Adam's use of Tik-Tok, and especially, it is a good think to keep we-chat out. We get so distracted by T's love of Putin we get complacent about China. hmmmmm food for thought.

Personally, I don't have any of those apps on my phone. That's why I also limit my social media...no twitter, no Insta, etc. And as soon as our daughter is back in the US, I'm off Facebook. I use it to message her...she doesn't have a phone right now.

I would love to donate more to Adam's causes but I'm afraid I'd end up on PayPal again & then have to deal with fictitious charges & so many other problems! I hate PayPal sooo much and this has happened so many times it's definitely premeditated on their part!! I just hate that they're so conniving and have to use underhanded tactics to get new customers. 😖😖😖. Thanks for letting me vent!

That is interesting...I have used paypal for years and have never had issues with them. Also...several times over the years I had found myself dealing with a vendor who will not treat you fairly and paypal has taken over, at my request, and I get either my product or refund as soon as they get into the equation. I have always preferred dealing with them than directly with an out of country seller...and have often not bought because there was no paypal option. Interesting we would have such divergent experiences...

I have it linked to my bank account and use it to pay for stuff and also have had people pay me for items, and have never had an issue.

Much more comfortable with that than giving any random company my cc info. That is a little weird the experiences would be so different.
