Has anyone received their Vegas refunds, and did you have to call Ticketmaster? Not yet. I have called them. Pretty annoying. I got my refund two months ago. I'm beginning to think it depends on what credit card was used. A friend had one night credited, but is still waiting on the other.

If I haven't gotten it I'm going to call again and go to my credit card.

PI, are you just posting the QAL album promo? I'm not getting your posts to show up at all; just lots of empty posts.

It is annoying since it has been more than two months since the October concerts have been canceled.

I like Adam's face shield, it is unobtrusive. It would not work though if you wear glasses like I do. Somebody needs to invent a glasses clip-on face shield. Also, I want another photo of Adam because how short is his hair really? I thought at first that it was probably about ‘usual’ length but just had no product or blow drying so was flatter and combed flat. But it looks like static has made a bit stick to the car roof and that looks pretty short.... I love Adam looking like this...very natural. (What kind of world is it where he is wearing a facemask and visor and he looks ‘natural’? ) I've always loved Adam's thick black hair - esp, the way he wore it for the GN tour. I hope it's not too thinned out because he has gorgeous hair. Regarding the fan interaction - I mentioned it because I do think social media has become more important these days to promote yourself and your work in the arts. Yes, the occasional TV appearance is great, but it's generally a one-off, and isn’t enough in itself. We know how cut throat the pop music industry is, and how transient one's popularity can be especially with new young acts appearing every week. I’m no expert on these things and only follow a handful of artists, but of the ones I do follow, Bill Kaulitz posts almost daily on Instagram and Twitter, sharing selfies, and shooting little videos to update fans on his activities. Brian May posts somewhat regularly, updating fans on his health, the fire situation near his home, astronomical things, etc. Adam’s fans are very loyal, no matter what. We also dig deep to buy his merchandise, we buy multiple concert tickets travelling to different venues around the country to hear him, and we try to vote as much is possible on the various “online polls”. Though none of us expect Adam to do anything but perform - which he always does gloriously - it would be a nice gesture on his part to connect just a little more with his fans - whether that’s posting updates of himself on IG or Twitter, or even doing an occasional live chat for the paying members of his fan club. Having said that, Adam seems to have made the choice to go with a small label in exchange for creative freedom. That almost guarantees he won’t get the radio play and promotion that he would with a big label, which in turn means it’s unlikely that his songs will be in the Top 40 on Billboard, which in turn means that it’s unlikely he’ll be nominated for any major industry awards. His publicist doesn’t seem to do much of anything for him either - I didn’t even see a tweet mentioning his appearance at the Montreal Pride concert. On one level, his loyal fan base has accepted the situation but it doesn’t stop me from sometimes feeling sad & frustrated, that a man, who is acknowledged by virtually every professional in the music business, by every vocal coach who hears him, and by millions of listeners at the Queen concerts to be the greatest male pop singer in the world right now, continues to get so little recognition. It’s like he’s another Freddie Mercury but doesn’t have that level of fame. While Ed Sheeran sells out stadiums and sets records for highest grossing concert tours, Adam only does that when he’s singing with Queen (and how long will that gig last?) While another singing contest winner, Harry Styles, has a second top 10 hit from an album released in Dec. 2019, it looks like promotion for Velvet is already over – 5 months after it’s release. That despite the fact, that I honestly think it’s the best work he’s ever done. As I said, it can be frustrating.

That despite the fact, that I honestly think it’s the best work he’s ever done. As I said, it can be frustrating. I get your frustration. But Harry Styles and Ed get great exposure because they get a ton of radio play in the US and have great major label support. Adam did not get that massive radio play when he was on a major cause they never pushed that hard for him. I have little doubt if he had received the massive radio, that some enjoyed, he would be playing arenas too. But without the radio hits it is not going to happen unless you are a rapper. He could not make it happen on his own. And no one expected he would get it on a smaller label. I think we all wish for more for him. But him engaging more on social media, with the fan base that he has, is not likely to make much of a difference. We buy everything he puts out but we are not a huge fan base. It would make some fans happy for him to engage more but then what? He is not stupid or unaware about the business. If it would put him in arenas and stadiums, he would have done it by now. Everyone would. He doesn't do as much social as some but more than others. And Adam did not come with the massive fan base that Harry brought from ID, and a major label that supports his solo career. Whatever was going to happen with Velvet did not happen because of the pandemic. He had no control over that and he can't change it. We missed a nice solo tour but it was not likely to blow up huge, if we are honest. And not because it was not great cause it was. But he still wasn't gong to get much radio play and on the huge streaming playlists. Yes we have a right to be frustrated. But we should also remember that we only missed out on some concerts. These events were so much harder on him. If he thinks he needs to move on, instead of dwelling on what did or didn't happen, then he should do what is best from himself and his career. He seems to already have plans with QAL and some other things it seems. We don't know what those plans are but he probably does. He has a great career and yes I too want more. But he did not do any of this on purpose or to hurt his fans. He has said he moved on from trying to get top 40 with the younger acts. I think we have to move with him. Velvet was not very pop and I also think it was some of his best work. I hope to see more of that from him and a solo tour when he can. TBH, I wish a major had allowed him to put out the kind of work like Velvet and to a different or multiple genres. If it did well on top 40 also that would have been fine too. But he needs to do what he needs to do to move on. I just hope things are back to normal in 2021 so Adam can continue with his career goals. Whatever they are and whatever makes him happy. It will likely make us fans happy too.
