There are also some surprises, with American Idol season 8 runner-up and current Queen frontman Adam Lambert appearing in an undisclosed role alongside Arrested Development's Alia Shawkat.
Given that it's being released so soon after the Netflix show, comparisons with Space Force are inevitable. However, this one already looks like it might be more successful at parodying the world of astronauts than Carell's too-often mediocre show. That's not surprising, though, given the sheer comedic talent behind the show. All three leads have been involved in some of the best TV and movie comedies of the past 15 years, from the absurd (Tim and Eric) to the sublime (Portlandia). Based on that pedigree alone, Moonbase 8 should be hilarious.
