I watched "The Social Dilemma" which Adam recommended, and it was very eye opening and in parts shocking to me (though I knew on the surface how toxic and fake social media can be). The part with the young teen who suffered a major blow as someone commented on her IG if she could make her ears bigger was pretty impactful as well. With all that in mind I was honestly surprised about Adam's latest IG post - a "pretty" picture that is airbrushed and filtered. The heavy eye make-up didn't even bother me that much but I still couldn't bring myself to join the many admirers and write an enthusiastic comment. I haven’t seen it but how Adam’s filtered pic is related to ‘the social Dilema’? I have seen The Social Dilemma. It is truly a must-see. It covers all the aspects of social media for good and ill. The people on the documentary are very knowledgeable and some were even part of the inception of these sites. It's a really eye-opening documentary. See it if you possibly can. I think the connection to Adam's IG post has to do with how our images can be manipulated so easily. In Adam's case, it's just a pretty innocent thing that Adam does a lot: change up his looks. We always know it's him. He never tries to mislead us in a dishonest way. But there can be a dark side to this, too. Not everyone uses social media for harmless reasons. We have to be really alert about a lot of things, because some of it can be really harmful. Sad but true.

Haha, I like Roger's last sentence. I like his sense of humor.

Thanks for the article. At the time of Brian's heart attack, he made it sound like a relatively minor thing that he was quickly recovering from. That he would have been able to do the tour if it was not cancelled. I don't know if Brian didn't know how much of an impact the attack would have or if he was painting a rosy picture for himself or his fans. In this article, it is clear he would NOT have been able to do the European tour this year. No way. The pandemic is terrible, but it was fortuitous timing for Brian's health.
As for 2021, who knows? Will large concerts be possible by then? Will Brian be strong enough, healthy enough, with enough stamina to do the type of touring they have done before? Will his "pre-existing condition" and his age make it too risky, even if things have opened back up? Risky for Roger, too? Even Adam, the way he breathes while singing, very deeply drawing air to the very bottom of his lungs consistently for more than two hours, will he be safe resuming arena tours?
Who knows? I am so grateful to have experienced QAL on the last three tours in the US. Such precious memories.
