Unconventional Fame From Reality Star To The Stage THE NUMBERS LOOK GREAT for these folks….like comparing apples and oranges…single artists versus groups/bands, yet so wonderful that Queen with Adam had that high ranking for worldwide band income in 2020, plus seeing these numbers for total concerts equates to ====As an artist Adam’s status cannot be denied. From one article above ….Adam part “At the other end of the spectrum are the superstar careers by such artists as One Direction, Carrie Underwood and Adam Lambert, who have excelled as live performers after launching their careers on reality competition shows. After finishing third on the U.K.’s “The X Factor” in 2010, One Direction went on to gross $628 million from 7.9 million tickets sold at 333 headlining shows before going on hiatus in 2016. Underwood’s box office history shows 575 headlining performances grossing $282 million from 4.7 million tickets since she first hit the road after winning the fourth installment of “American Idol” in 2005. Lambert has 301 shows recorded since his runner-up result on the series in 2009. From his headlining dates plus the concerts with Queen, his grosses top $258.7 million from 2.7 million tickets.” Adam & Q+A tickets must have been priced higher

QAL tickets certainly were priced higher than solo tickets. Adam has done quite well with his solo tours. I sure hope he gets to do more. His next album is from that musical he's working on. So there will probably be no tour involved. But his next actual solo album will hopefully have a tour to support it.
Ironic that lots of artists at lower and mid-level status tour ALL THE TIME. The touring and performing is their full-time job. Higher end artists seem to have big scheduled tours and then periods of no performing other than a special thing here or there. I know I'm generalizing a bit too much, but it seems to me that this is how it is for lots of performers.
