Did I dream that Adam said that the new single would be announced "at the end of the week"? Meaning last week. Now I'm seeing speculation by a few random tweeters (who probably know nothing) that it might be 2-3 weeks. If true would that really give the song time to build enough to influence album sales? I think not. Probably know nothing? Of course these twats ;D know nothing. FYE basically came out with no single presence. Not gonna worry about speculation from these people. Longevity counts, not opening week sales and IMO, any of these songs can be a hit. Adam has 3 or more great singles on this album. I am so excited! |

myspenser - I agree! All 4 songs have great potential IF they are played. And yeah, I should have left off the "probably". ::) I'm just getting antsy - can't wait!

Looks like BTIKM peaked. I wonder what happened to Flo Rida. His single peaked some time ago, started to drop but now is gaining new spins.

Yes, the bigger stations have either stopped or drastically slowed down the rotation. I am taking this as a sign that RCA has them getting ready for the next single. Of course, with how slow HAC moves, Adam will be in the Top 20 for a few more weeks. |

Of course, with how slow HAC moves, Adam will be in the Top 20 for a few more weeks. Actually it's looked to me like a gradual slow down of most of them over time, only losing 1-4 rotations a week among the HAC leaders. It's been offset up to now by new stations coming in and starting to spin very quickly and upping their spin count rapidly. I also think that talk about a new single may have caused some radio stations to cut back (but I've only seen drastic cut-offs in pop) but also fandom to stop requesting. Personally I'm going to keep requesting BTIKM until there is another single to request -- because although it seems imminent, who knows if it is? |
