scroll alert.... Sorry for bringing up the weekend again, but since it is kinda slow today... I was looking at the photo Julia posted, which unfortunately I don't know how to include in this post. Julia Hollinger @jmorgan2850 7m @adamlambert Here you are in my dad's car, just in case if you wanted it! pic.twitter.com/v3YVJ67ggm Anyway, the one with Adam in the driver's seat...it must have been a pretty amazing car for them to take him out to see it and for him to want to get inside. He is obviously used to mega luxury cars (even though he doesn't feel the need to own one), so most would be no big deal to him. Not enough of the car is shown to be able to even guess as to what kind it is. Not important, but it just made me wonder. I think it was Q3 who commented that perhaps the Dad picked Adam up at the airport...so he would have been in the car, but to want to sit behind the wheel was interesting. (to me, probably not to anyone else!). No, I'm with you. I, too, wondered how awesome that car must have been to have Adam wanting to sit behind its wheel. Unless, for some reason, he drove it somewhere? The whole event must have been such an incredible dream for Julia. I keep thinking back those multitudinous decades to when I was 16 and remembering how at that age I dreamed of running into one of my favorite rock stars at the time (Peter Frampton was waaaaayyy up on my list), having him appear to hold my hand during some imaginary hospital stay, or some other imagined dramatic scenario. What a lucky girl she was to have her sweet youthful dream realized!

Big news in Idol world. Ryan is renewing for 2 more years! I love Ryan! He really holds the show together. wow! and I thought AI is on its deathbed... I wonder if they are paying Ryan $1Mil/week to keep doing it and as long as Adam can use AI as a platform when he needs it I am all for it! so: This! The only times I have been able to really thoroughly enjoy AI since Season 8 have been the times Adam was on. The first couple years I think I was holding a possibly neurotic grudge, but I have really tried the past couple years to dive in and get involved; bothe years I lasted about 3 weeks before I gave up. I don't understand what the problem could be with finding solid talent in the whole country, but I swear, I hear better at my local Chicago area bars than some of the finalists on Idol.

In reference to Out Mag's leaving Adam out of that list, I have an interesting (albeit probably twisted) thought that was inspired by comments that media love to use Adam's name to garner hits; just as the press gets attention for naming Adam in headlines, using his pic, etc., one has to wonder if they haven't also figured out that they can get multitudinous hits from his legions of fans by leaving him out of lists we all (and rightly so!) think he should be included.

I love popular music but know peanuts about the music biz; does anyone know if it's a favorable event in terms of future single release that LMD is being used in a commercial? On the one hand, I'm excited to hear it reach the general public via television, but on the other, I wonder if its being used in a commercial will in effect "wear it out" before it ever gets a chance to catch on as a single. I have, of course, heard many songs that were already popular later being used to sell products, but I don't know that I've ever heard it go the other way around -- that an advertising campaign song became a radio hit. Anyone have thoughts on this? Weirdly enough, I think its becoming more common. Didn't the success of FUN's "We Are Young" have a lot to do with a SuperBowl commercial? Also, that song used for one of the super skinny Apple computers didn't hit (at least *my*) radio until after the ad aired on tv. That's good to know! I do remember "We Are Young" in an ad, now that you mention it, but I didn't know that's how it was originally popularized. I absolutely love, love, love the Lipton advertisement. You can't help but smile while watching it. I'm so happy that a song Adam sings and wrote on is being used for such a fun summer campaign and for such an established, well-known company!

and .. by the way were you in MJ in 2009? I seem to remember there's a "teri" in there.
Thanks! Yes, that may well have been me. I've been an ardent Adam fan since "Mama," a frequent lurker and occasional poster!

I think Shoshanna is acutely aware of what she's saying at all times. I think she gets so many tweets throughout each day that she picks and chooses those that will help her get across whatever her message du jour may be. This isn't the first time she's gotten a tweet misconstruing or "jumping the gun" on her delivery of Adam news; with all that's been going on media-wise with Adam, I'd be willing to bet that she's been getting a lot of speculation about his career--both accurate and otherwise--that she's feeling a need to put a little damper on some possibly over-enthusiastic fan reaction. Both Shoshanna and Adam have intimated that big things are coming, but fans can take encouraging statements and escalate anticipation to the skies. Shoshanna might be feeling the need to keep fan minds and hearts grounded on Earth!

Delurking to say how much I enjoy this site and all the funny, inspirational and informational ditties you all have to offer and to ask if anyone here knows anything about seating at the Palace of Auburn Hills. I have purchased two sets of tickets: one for section 120A row JJJ (which is platform seating) and one for Section 115 row C (which appears to be 9 rows back in the LL section). I purchased the section 115 tickets this morning, as I was having post-purchase evaluation of the 120A tickets. Those scared me because, as platform seats, I'm assuming they are all on one level, and being a tad staturally challenged, I feared that I wouldn't be able to see a thing. Also, the larger section (120B) next to my section is not available for sale, worrying me as to what and how distracting/obstructing it might be. When I went on this morning and found that the 115 seats were more expensive than the 120A seats I bought during the fan club sale, I assumed that meant they were better. After reading Q3's discovery, however, that Ticketmaster hiked up the prices today, I'm not sure which set is best. Anyone with knowledge about this venue?

Still hanging in until an official AI announcement. Too many hands and poker faces in this game to know the outcome yet.
ETA - Is "singing for" the same thing as saying "the judges are"? Maybe splitting hairs but still.
