Jewish comics To add Sarah Silverman,Amy Schumer,Roseanne Barr,Andy Kaufman,Mort Saul,Jerry Seinfeld,Rodney Dangerfield and maybe sometimes Adam Lambert ... Thanks for the additions -- and there are still more!! Surprisingly -- almost all the Jewish comedians are decedents of people who emigrated to the US and Canada from Eastern Europe-Russia. Now for a list of the Italian American comics .....Jay Leno, Dean Martin, ??
And you are so right -- Adam can be very funny. And if he ever wanted to do a Jewish stand-up comedian routine, he could pull it off. Particularly with a couple great joke writers!
I LOVE Roseanne Barr and Mel Brooks and yeah i absolutely believe that Adam would make a fantastic stand-up comedian but i always hope for him to have a cool Talk show some day, or a something like the Diva show some day again. He is so eloquent and much less forced cheerfull than some of the known Talk Show Hosts. And because i want to think now only happy thoughts Today, 4 years ago in Korea, this happened www.youtube.com/watch?v=ISY6Pz3kxeY&list=PL32oQxtHQxLxaWXlYKCRgPdKPXQiOdztm&index=6

Well , when he calls HIMSELF something, that others use as slurs, what should we as fans feel? A couple of years ago, Adam said that using words, others use as evil words, in a nice form of endearment would take the bite out of it. I think he used "faggot" as example. It was the Concert were he showed the black/yellow stripped undies. Is "frugal Jew" still used as a slur word in USA? No, not sure that exact phrase was every a slur in the US, but, the idea of Jews being cheap is used as a slur and is part of a very negative stereotype -- "Shylock"* for example is used as a slur -- and it's embedded in anti-Semantic nonsense which unfortunately is alive and well in the US -- although not widespread like it was in the past and mostly hiding under rocks and online. I think Adam was trying to be funny -- and really was not thinking about it when he said it. Sounded a bit like a "girlfriend" comment. I'm Jewish and I was not offended by it for what that's worth. That said, John Stewart (and other Jewish comedians) has done some very funny bits about being a "cheap Jew" and no one seemed to bothered by it. I think that it fits into the category of things a "group member" can make jokes about but other people should just leave unsaid. Adam is Jewish and he is "sort of" frugal. Thankfully, it has literally been decades since I have been directly confronted by anything truly hateful. But.... 11.17.16 During this past year, anti-Semitic imagery proliferated on social media, Jewish journalists were targeted and longstanding anti-Jewish conspiracy theories got a fresh airing. Much of the bias originated with the alt-right, or alternative right, a loose group espousing a provocative and reactionary strain of conservatism. It's often associated with far right efforts to preserve "white identity," oppose multiculturalism and defend "Western values."
In addition to the online intimidation, reports of anti-Semitic vandalism and other attacks have risen.
Link: fortune.com/2016/11/17/anti-semitism-donald-HeWhoCannot amed-jews/ * Scholars still debate the meaning and origin of this hateful character in The Merchant of Venice. But no one debates that it is a term that is highly offensive. It is so damn horrible and sad to read that. One of the younger doctors at my workplace was jewish, she was here working for 5 years, till she got a good offer for a better position last year. She once had night shift with me, it was a night without much trouble and we talked a little bit about life for the jewish communities in Germany today. Here it is not only the extreme rights that are making the slurs and behaving hateful to the extreme, but also the extreme left that are behaving the exact same way. The rights are saying there was no Holocaust, the left are saying what is happening in Israel with palestine is worse than the Holocaust. She told me she was once coming out of the Synagoge with the rest of her community under Police protection and from one end of the street the rights were shouting " Jews should disapear and Jews into gas" and one week later there was a huge demonstration in front of the Synagoge when the lefts and exil palestinians and others were shouting "Child killer Israel and Jews into Gas" She said that in these Situations , Jewish People just can not win. Friends off her had nearly the same Situations happen in some Universities in UK and France. I find it absolutely horrific that Jewish people have so many ignorant People against them, Lefts and Rights, Christians and Muslims. I fear for the coming times for our sisters and brothers of jewish believe. I am so sorry that i drag down this fun filled day, maybe my mind is in overreaction. I had a couple hard days at work, sorry guys. I normaly want to come here and be positive and not drag anything down. Sorry

No comments about him calling himself a "frugal jew"? Haaha, FRUGAL? FRUGAL? I could probably live for a month on the price of each item of clothing he's wearing! But yeah, he was just responding to the host so not to be taken as Adam's true assessment of himself Could be. But i think his clothes are part time clothes for the job for him, in other ways he is not spending too much. Adam has his style and Image to uphold. Why am i suddenly in this field and not below it when writing. I can't get out to write underneath

oh sorry I don't remember ever hearing "frugal Jew" as an insult. , but I sure have heard other stuff. like "a penny for a Jew" IMHO Adam didn't say anything insulting ,he was describing himself about not using a makeup person .. there were two other Jewish guys on the show and Adam probably felt comfortable talking as a member of the tribe.. just saying......Sometimes" a cigar is just a cigar" Back some years my boss was a young Jewish guy, we actually went out a lot with him and his wife, and I heard all kinds of "comments" from him, his friends, others. Only once did something offend him and he asked the man to leave the office. He and I used to pop off to lunch fairly often and when we ran into his friends he would call me his Shiksa. His theory, and mine, is consider the source and the intent. If it's not meant to be offensive, let it go. In this case, I think Adam was referring to not having 10 cars and a paid entourage. Could be

Maybe i am thinking to much about a word, or try to see something in it, that may not be meant or had no meaning for real.

No comments about him calling himself a "frugal jew"? Have to admit, it sounded funny/odd to me when he said it -- I think a bit of Andy's Gay Jewish snark rubbed off on him. It is one of those thing that I guess is "OK" to say about yourself, but only about yourself. But, yeah, odd thing to say. *** I thought it was a fun show, Adam looked great -- and young. But Adam seemed relatively calm compared to everyone else on the show. We did get some different than normal questions, although not much/any new info. *** My favorite line, "It's not a jacket..." I always thought that jews and jewish heritage was not that surrounded by antisemitism as in Europe still. Here in Germany , no person of Jewish belief, would make snarky self ironic jewish comments. The pain of history is still to much for snark to be used in non jewish public. Sadly.... but no not today....about politics..... TODAY is about how funny Adam was, and HOW GORGEOUS
