Can we somehow rename this Logo TV / NewNowNext article and maybe even our thread into
How did Adam Manage to Overcome? ...or something similar....
rather than saying 'Why is he not more popular / successful? ' right when he is coming off of probably his most glamorous, prestigious, and successful couple of weeks of his life since his time on AI.
Adam is running in this world with a twenty pound backpack, when others carry none, yet he is still standing, and not just at the back of the pack, like many of those that are so often listed and compared here, like the KAs or MMs of this world. Let them make their careers, and Adam make his, and let's celebrate what he is doing, because there is so much to celebrate.
Adam does not win the 100-meter-dash, but he is running in the long-haul races and winning more and more of them. Let's stop the comparison to the Shawn Mendez and J. Bieber and whoever else is running without that backpack on their back, they are in a different race, imo. Adam decided to shoulder the backpack that he was given, and running at his own speed, handing out goodies from his backpack, like this week the 'Feel Something' video, to tons of people who feel spoken to by the music he makes, who have experienced numbness or are in the middle of it, and need something to lift them up.
Asking why Adam is not bigger than he is, is imo asking why he does not do well in the 100 meter dash. The question just does not make sense, and just brings us fans or anyone reading this down, when Adam us trying to lift us up. Let's celebrate instead of looking with envy to others who are racing under different conditions.
And let's not forget:
These recent viewer numbers under the recent youtube video (both audio and live session of FS and the Believe and the Oscar one), are not coming just from us here, they are coming from tons and tons of others, who are liking the video and sending it to their friends. They also come from media outlets that continue to talk about Adam, praise him, make noise on his behalf. Yes, Adam's praise does not reach to every TV station everywhere, it is right now, selective, in the hands of those few that do see Adam for what he brings to the table as an artist. But their numbers are growing. So let's climb on board and celebrate the long distance races that Adam is winning, instead of complaining that he does not win the dash.
Off to the races now. Bye Sorry. Had to be said.
