Referring to the posts yesterday about the Queen documentary on PBS, I just happened to stumble upon it on one of my PBS stations late Sunday evening. Couldn't believe it when I saw Freddie, Brian, Roger and John on my TV screen talking about the 40th anniversary of making that album and the subsequent tour that year. Definitely worth watching! I'm always amazed how polished Brian sounds in interviews. And my heart almost burst with pride when Brian talked about Adam, and they showed Adam singing "We Are The Champions" at the conclusion of it!!! Earlier in the evening my DH and I had been watching the Ron Howard film about the Beatles "Eight Days a Week - The Touring Years", so I was definitely into overdrive with my rock icons. By the way, for any Beatles fans out there who adored them or who saw them live (as I did, three times - yes, I'm that old and I was so very fortunate to experience those concerts) that film is a wonderful trip down memory lane, and brings back those insane teenage feelings as a Beatles fan. Nobody has made me feel that way again until Adam came along - I'm reliving my youth thanks to this extraordinary man!! I have same feelings!

I too have a problem with "best ever", as I have to revise it frequently. However, the one performance that immediately comes to mind for me is DSMN/NYE London. That intro to their fantastic NYE gig was everything. Actually, that whole NYE show was a "best evah". I have it DLd in several formats....those professionally shot shows are the best...but Adam shined. It was almost like the Adam Lambert show in the way he was the focus thruout. There is definitely no better intro to a show....evah. That mischevious, flirty look in DSMN is just heaven.

Aww, thank you, dear Raija! I keep my fingers crossed that there will be a concert in Amsterdam and that you will be able to travel there with your son! So sorry, that we won't meet this time but hopefully next time again! Betty

Long ago in a galaxy far away, young Adam had a great gig for an aspiring actor/singer, touring in a Broadway production of Wicked. He felt frustrated and longed for a solo career as a pop singer, so he quit this stable gig to pursue his dream of stardom. When that didn't work out well, he ended up going back to the producers and begging for his job back in Wicked. Could it be that Adam learned from that experience not to walk away from a very lucrative gig? Add to that Adam greatly enjoys the QAL gig. Musically and vocally, it is highly challenging. He couldn't be performing on a bigger stage or with a more elaborate production than with Queen. Since he was lonely and shunned as a teen, he has placed great importance on creating close "families" with fellow performers, and he has that with Queen. Brian and Roger do not try and tell him what and how to perform; they like the fact that he takes the lead and has developed into a charismatic frontman. He has great freedom to perform as he wants. On the flip side, he doesn't have to carry the weight of being the solo star. Everything other than the performance itself is handled by a myriad of personnel. Finally, he is getting love, admiration, respect, and praise from huge audiences around the world. It makes perfect sense to me that Adam would continue to tour with Queen at this time. More power to him. Thank you Cassie!

I loved TOH tour I attended in four shows: Helsinki, Warsaw, Vienna and Munich. Very special moments in Vienna: photo option with Adam (my avi). I almost fainted when I saw him so close He is SO BEAUTIFUL! I was in Munich, too, after I had seen several shows in the US. What a special night it was!! ... and it was so cute how Adam did not want to leave the stage as it was the final night haha. I met shimoli710 at the concert, or more once it was over, after we had been standing next to each other during the show. Really cool that you had such a special "faint worthy" moment with Adam in Vienna, rpeura ! Now I know where your avi is from Hi sizzling63, Actually I have had 2 "faint worthy" moment with Adam The other one was in Helsinki 2013. I won the competition of the best wellcome words for Adam and got this photo option with him: My facial expression:" I'm in heaven" I have followed Adam since American Idol. I admire him SO MUCH

What a great memory! I love everything about this performance. The song, of course. (Shoulda been a single. I know it was an Avicii song, so not Adam's decision), the great choreography, Adam's whole look, outfit, hair, etc. He just looked perfect, sang great, danced like a dream All with his best friend close behind him. I LOVED the TOH tour. Hope we get a solo tour with Era 4. Worldwide, just like the last one, because the WORLD loves Adam. I did too. I absolutely loved the flow of the show, and Holly and Terrance supported Adam so beautifully. What a blast it must have been for all of them! Btw. I don't think we shouldn't have any reason to think that there won't be an era4 solo tour. Question is, how much distraction can we get until then? I loved TOH tour I attended in four shows: Helsinki, Warsaw, Vienna and Munich. Very special moments in Vienna: photo option with Adam (my avi). I almost fainted when I saw him so close He is SO BEAUTIFUL!
