I felt the same way you did-I didn't care about the AMA performance anymore. I was just so thankful he didn't fall to the floor--and I know that he was so upset with himself and it was reflected in the rest of his singing. Can't believe he kept going. I sat on my couch and cried, too.

I knew immediately that Adam had fallen and I was panic-stricken that he would fall off the structure, right down onto the floor-where he could have been terribly hurt! All this went through my mind in mini seconds as I watched his performance that night.I couldn't believe how he managed to go on as if nothing had happened {this is where his years of stage performances and training kicked in} and was able to keep the mike in his hand and continue singing. I was so relieved that he didn't fall to the floor that I almost didn't care about anything else at that point. In a subsequent interview when Adam was discussing the fall,he said that his knee was throbbing in pain but he knew he had to keep going-and we all know the rest of the story.Wow, you guys are really bringing back some scary memories for me! Bottom line, Adam is a professional, has been on stage since he was a little boy here in San Diego and has certainly paid his dues. He wasn't "discovered" on AI as so many continue to believe. That platform simply gave him world- wide recognition.

Don't think I can handle one more "flicker of hope" regarding Adam possibly performing at the VMA"s tonight. I'm just so happy he'll be there tonight. His time to perform will surely come.
Oh-and this is one time I wish I were back in my hometown of Brooklyn once again, where I was born. I would be checking out the Barclay Theater for sure!

Squidbert, Thank you for being brave enough to comment about that woman in front who was repeatedly yelling at Adam the other night at the AFTEE event. I was so embarrassed for Adam and was hoping that he couldn't hear her. Like you, I was cringing at her audacity to be so disrespectful- and it is a mark of Adam's professionalism and experiences with audiences that he totally ignored her! What makes someone feel so entitled to be so RUDE!!!!!
The only thing I noticed on Adam's pants was something that looked like a cell phone-or maybe not. Whatever the case, he could have been wearing a diaper on that stage and all I would have cared about were the words being exchanged between Adam and Nile during that beautiful introduction. Adam really puts up with alot. I guess he has seen and heard it all.
Thank you for taking the time to mention this.

Don't know what it is about this song, but ever since the first time I heard Adam sing I JUST LOVE YOU over 4 years ago, it makes me cry. There is a sadness in his voice that reaches into the recesses of my soul. When I realized that the lyrics were written about a daddy singing to his little daughter ,it made me go back to that time in my life when I was always longing to see my father. Yes, music touches us in ways we don't always anticipate.
On a happier note, I hope that Adam has a little daughter of his own some day- whom he can sing to as she looks up at him adoringly.Thank you for posting this beautiful song.

Setting aside the B5s for a second -- I love the sweet, soft section of Trespassing from 0:49-0:56! Who sounds like this? Seriously the tone, clarity, and quality of that small bit is indescribable. [Cassie help -- what is he doing that makes it sound like that?] Q3, Cassie already responded to this, but you can hear more of that tone in "I Just Love You." That tone just melts me. We don't hear it much any more, as he usually adds the rasp that Cassie talked about. I know many people love the added rasp.

Yes, this guy can sing. What's blatantly missing, however,is the combination of sweetness and sexiness that is unique to Adam's voice- at least to my ears....
