omg, I hate this music. Is there more Adam to make it worth it. And yes, I get why they don't play Adam much here.

I don't think Adam rerecorded the vocals. They were slowed down and brought to the forefront with the remixed beat in the back. It was so good to hear Adam's voice and the song just sounds completely different but the message comes through clearer. I really hope this gets some radio play.

Jezz, listening to this station waiting for Adam is bleeding my ears... JLo on now. "On the Floor"... Typical radio song... I thought it was "Lambada".

Oh no! That is the time I have my tax appointment. Unpleasant enough without knowing that I'm missing this! Btw - OT but not really. Apparently James D hit it out of the park at last night's taping. I do.not.want anything to diminish Adam's spotlight on Thursday. How would James' performance on Wed diminish Adam's performance on Thursday? not sure I get the connection. ITA, We really need to get it out of our heads that JD is in any way a threat to Adam. However good a singer he is he has a looooong way to go. He is not in Adam's league performance or vocal wise, not to mention he has yet to put out any music. Just think of what we have gone through with Adam. JD still has all that ahead of him and he does not have even a smidgen of Adam's personality either.

I live just south of you and I said this yesterday about 933flz they did drop him but mix100 has been playing both songs all day up until a few weeks ago. It will be interesting to see if they play Aftermath. I made my requests on both stations this morning. I think Ryan's show is at 2pmEST on 933flz On another note those living on the West Coast of Florida we should get together and do our own GNT/DVD showing when it comes out. That might be cool. I'm already going to Mayumi's get together the first weekend of April but maybe we could also do something either before or after that. Wonderstruck is in St Pete too so we should all talk. I am down for a DVD watch party too! This would be fun!

My theory is that by not releasing a single after IIHY in the US but continuing to release various songs around the world they put US radio in the position of having to push them to release something. I've have long had a feeling that the way Adam's rollout was structured they were always erring on the side of making radio come to them. My feeling is that they did very strategically specific pushes along the way for WWFM and IIHY but for the most part let TV and video in the beginning and then later tour and video do the majority of the promotion. They also did more small station promo combined with the tour but again it seemed to me that in most of those cases the stations were competing and pushing to get him because of the demand rather than him having to fight for promo spots. I remember when people were complaining early in the album release cycle that he wasn't doing enough radio promo and my gut feeling then was that they focused more on pushing TV and VH1 and kind of played hard to get with radio maybe doing deals with just a few big stations initially like Z100 then IIHY actually started with small stations mostly adding along the way coinciding with tour dates. I just strongly feel that they have been making radio come to them. Doing Aftermath as a charity release is a great way to "let" radio have another single and promo has probably built naturally as news of the release got out. Adam stated clearly early on that it WOULDN'T be released to radio and now it is which to me says maybe the radio stations themselves pushed for it. This is a very interesting theory and I hope it is true. I really think they had to use very different tactics with Adam. Rihannsu, I just noticed you are in Davenport, FL, I am in Spring Hill, FL not too far away! I wanted to say that 933flz in Tampa played WWFM and IIHY quite a bit but not nearly as much as the usual suspects. When Adam performed at Tropicana Field and there were supposedly up to 20k people that stayed for the concert, not to mention stellar reviews, I thought local radio would take notice and realize that Adam was a draw and more popular than they thought. However they still dropped IIHY fairly quickly after it peaked while they still played other music ad nauseum. I still think many PDs are resistant to Adam because of his sexuality and it has taken Adam and his management going to much greater lengths than usual to prove that the public is much more accepting than they think.

REhearsing wit zi boys...x pics soon about 2 hours ago via web There is a poster in IDF that claims to have on good authority that Adam is performing Aftermath on Idol next week. Grain of salt time but maybe that is what Cam's tweet means?
