It sounds to me like it wasn't the fact that they were filming from the front row. It was the fact that they had been to multiple shows , in the front row. And had been lucky enough to have the experience over and over, but instead of enjoying it and being in the moment they were filming it . Thus preventing people who might only have one chance to have this particular concert experience from being in front row.I think it goes back to that entitlement is sexy thing. Just because you can afford to go to multiple concert and be in the front row doesn't mean it makes right to always take that experience with someone else.

is it weird i am already nervous for next week? I am sooo looking forward to seeing Adam in Amsterdam on stage. It feels like i can't do anything else than just wait for wednesday to come haha, this is not healthy mireille: just reading your message this afternoon made me feel all itchy again. My tummy went crazy again and I just couldn't concentrate. I think my co-workers are also starting to notice stuff, because I'm way more vocal about Adam these days than before and I also can't seem to shut up about the concert and everything around it. Got a cup of coffee at the end of the day because I was pretty tired but that one made me all hyper. Add to that some enthusiasm about Adam and work was impossible. Actually I think also some are beginning to wonder why I also took Thursday off from work. Wednesday is not completely normal already let alone Thursday as well. I know the whole work thing ...about a month before I went to see QAL people at work got so sick of my going about it they stated to avoid mentioning anything that might prompt me to talk about Adam... It didn't work .I just guessed on and on. For the TOHT they actually warned new employees about me and my obsession .... How rude ... Lol

With Idol ending I got to thinking how very grateful I am that I tuned in that faithful day in January 2009. I has gotten kinda bored with idol the previous couple of seasons. But having suffered from clinical depression my entire life I knew that I needed to have something to look forward to even if it was just picking out a special contestant on a reality show. So I turned in and it changed my life. I can't say I remember Adams addition because I don't...I don't really remember seeing him until Hollywood week. After that ,as many of the rest of you I was completely hooked. I started thinking that maybe just because I had a crazy parents and suffered from depression maybe it was OK to actually like myself . By the time Idol ended that season I really didn't give a darn what anybody thought about me. When the F5 tornado blew life as I knew it away I just picked up and carried on. When I worked in a tent and all the snow blew in and the roof leaked think I just thought about Adam and his beautiful spirit .Adam has inspired me but he's done so much more. He's helped me understand that we are who we are, good or bad right or wrong we're all part of the human experience. And that experience isn't meant to be simple or easy it's meant to be diverse, it's meant to let us grow as individuals, and achieve self-worth through acceptance of ourselves and others. Without Adam in my life I'd probably still be second-guessing myself probably still apologizing for everything that I did and wishing all the time that I was someone else. But because of Adam I'm happy with life ...I excepted as it comes... I deal with but I have to and there's always something to look forward to because ... simply put said I'm a glambert.

Well, I do know that both David Cook and Kris Allen have done "real tours." Cook has done several, and his first--right after Idol and his debut album--was incredibly lengthy. And, it sounds like Durbin was tweeting about a tour schedule. I actually think quite a few are accomplishing this. I'm not an Idol expert. From what I know, tho', at the present time, no other male Idol contestant is touring the US or Europe in the size venues that Adam is. Yes, Cook did for a time after Idol, but has not sustained that level of demand. Daughtry, too. And Ruben. Many former contestants are still making some sort of living as performers. Kris Allen has toured extensively, but generally to clubs and rooms of less than 500 capacity, and those not usually sold out. I think that is rather typical of former contestants. So, I think Adam is the exception, when it comes to post-Idol music careers. My daughter is s huge Daughtry fan . I've been to several concerts with her and he puts on a great show.and seems to play to nearly the same size audiences as Adam. I believe he did something like 63 shows and made 5 or 6 million last year , so he's doing well. Agree completely no one has had the international impact Adam has . Adam was born to change the world, to inspire, to spread joy and hope ,to spark understanding and to spread love through his music and spirt. Adam is a worldwide treasure and I feel so blessed to have been able to watch the world fall in love with this beautiful man.

Here goes...my review from Denver, long so scroll may be your friend. I began the day with a bit of trepidation given the weather forecast and my GNT concert experience. Denver has had multiple MAJOR snowstorms the last couple of Wednesdays (last week it shut down the city, including the airport). The weather forecasts have been no help. Last week 1-11 inches were predicted with 14-24 actually falling depending on the area of the city, so when it started snowing with near blizzard conditions at 4:30 p.m. yesterday and a prediction of 1 inch I was concerned about the after-concert drive home. As it turned out, it was a tempest in a teacup as it only snowed for about an hour - the time it took to drive to the venue - and it didn’t stick to the ground in town (the foothills were a skating rink and treacherous though). My GNT experience was a birthday celebration gone wrong. My car battery died pulling in to my parking space with the key stuck in the ignition. As concert-goers streamed by, my daughter and I went in search of a rep from the parking garage to jump start my car to get it fully parked and get the key out. Hot and sweaty, stressed about being late for the concert … and no dinner or get together with other Glamberts… we arrived at the venue. The concert was amazing but in the back of my mind was the question of whether we would be facing a repeat of a dead car and whether the parking garage rep would still be working. Yep, dead car. Nope, parking garage rep not working so we had to call the emergency help number... and wait... and wait... and wait.. Yesterday I drove a different car. My daughter and I arrived early, wonderful dinner, great conversation and she was thrilled with the VIP ticket seating row 10 center (I don't do pictures - well, drivers license - so no photo op for me). "Mom, my first time as a VIP!" as she looked at badge and goody bag admiringly. Smiles and hugs! We got settled and I tested the stream (@mmadamimadamm is a wonder and made my ability to stream a breeze). The concert was not yet started when four women behind me began partying – HARD. They were having a great time, LOUD, ROWDY, asking me to take pictures of their group, pinching my daughter’s ass (a first by a stranger for my daughter, who was wide-eyed at the experience - "Mom!"). Yeah. I wondered what they would sound like on the stream and did let them know that I was going to be broadcasting – “cool” but it made no difference to them as they were there to have fun! @mmadamimadamm’s hyena reference? Yep, but I have to admit their joy was infectious! Also, the crowd was so loud I couldn’t distinguish much of their screams and singing – looks at self – from others once Adam’s set began. The concert was amazing. As others have said, if Adam wasn’t feeling well, you could NOT tell it from his performance. I know he was hitting high notes but wasn’t conscious of how many or in what songs – just that he sounded and looked great. The crowd was with him from the beginning. My daughter commented on the diverse crowd – much more so than the GNT concert which was heavily female – with lots of couples both straight and gay. While there were a few kids, it was generally an adult crowd running from early 20s up. I know an 8-year old who is a huge Adam fan who “is. not. happy” about not being able to go to the concert because it was on a school night! The concert is a sensory feast. Feeling the reverberation of the music from the floor, into my feet and thrumming throughout my body is something that even in GNT I have never experienced in any concert before. The screens add so much to the energy of the music. I really only focused on what was on them when taking pictures; other than that the screens blended into my overall sensory experience. Pictures today seem sterile given the experience yesterday. Adam’s engagement with the crowd was pure fun. I screamed so hard and sang so loud with the crowd that I nearly lost my voice…for me, the sign of a great concert!!! Love your recap. It brought back memories of my 1st GNT....my crazy sweet airhead friend went to turn around in the middle of the road and hit some poor guy in the back side door. OPPS. So here I was 3 hrs from KC with a wrecked ride...Lol we made it but barely. So glad this was a grey time for and your daughter.

Great recap!!!!! Great recap so glad you had s great time. I was there sitting 3 rows behind you I remember the little boy dancing and the girls in the tutu.I drove from Grove Ok with my daughter who is from Jasper Mo. She wasn't a fan but came so I didn't have to come alone afterwords she said she had a great time and would go again. I agree the light show was amazing and Adam was fantastic always. The lady next to me was a long time fan at her first Adam concert. She asked where I was from and I said Grove Ok... then said and you drove here for this... I looked at her very seriously and said... I would have walked. After the show she stopped me and said I understand now. I met some great new glambert friends and had the time of my life ... Well since the last concert anyway. The last thing that struck me was an observation my daughter made. She said she had never been to a concert where so many strangers seemed like friends ..she said she'd never seen so much love in one room...that's out Adam. opps should be " that's our Adam."

This will be my detailed and lengthy recap of the Wichita concert on Monday, March 28. I had hoped to go to the Clearwater Florida concert that was 10 miles from my home, but it was cancelled when Adam was sick with strep throat. So, I immediately went looking for another concert somewhere in the U.S. I was not going to be denied, meeting Adam face to face was on my bucket list. I could only find one M & G that was available and would work for me, and it was in Wichita, Kansas. But where is Wichita? Isn't it in the middle of no where? (Later I found out it is the largest city in Kansas and it is known as the Air Capital of the World, the hub of U.S. aircraft production.) However, I did know it was located in tornado alley. So I was off alone on Monday morning, the day of the concert, hoping for good flying weather with no delays and that Adam's throat problems would not worsen. Two flights later, I landed in Wichita and proceeded to my hotel, which was not far from the Cotillion. A few hrs later, I called a cab to take me down the highway at 6 pm. I discovered the cab driver was originally from Iraq and had been there 23 yrs. Really? Way out here? When he immigrated, Wichita was taking a certain number of refugees and he was one of them, and has stayed ever since. Lines were forming outside the venue when I got there. VIP1 was for M & G's, then there was VIP2, and the 3rd line must have been for people just wanting to get in early I guess. Mostly middle age women in these lines at this point, some with their daughters. All seats were reserved, no GA. The Cotillion is a round ballroom built in 1960 with a small band shell stage. Concert capacity is 2000K. Seating was folding chairs on the floor. This was a throw back for sure and it was going to be intimate! No room for back screens, but I already loved it! We were all let inside at 6:30 pm. I was about 10 back in the line for the photo op with Adam, which happened about 7:45 pm. There were 48 of us. It was fun talking to the Adam fans, something I cannot do at home cuz my friends and family are not fans. You know how that goes, they tolerate me. Turns out in that crowd, I was a Adam concert baby. This was my 4th time seeing him, most people I met, it was their 7 - 11th time. Loved checking out the outfits, most wore black in some form with a touch of glitter. Me too. I wore my black Queen + AL T-shirt (red/blue/wht design) with black leggings and a long black coat-like sweater over them with black and red boots that sorta matched the T-shirt. Plus I glittered up some geometric earrings that I have had for years. Meeting Adam was short and sweet. The room is dimly lit and we are let in one at a time. I knew I only had a few seconds as the camera lady says she will count 3,2,1 and be sure you are facing the camera lens at that time, which is about 10 seconds in. Then it is over, so you have to plan what you are going to say as you are walking toward him and when getting ready to walk out after the photo. So I knew what I was going to say, but when I walked in, I surprisingly said, Hi Adam! in an enthusiastic voice. I was going to say, So nice to meet you. He responded Hi! and something else I don‘t remember. Then as he put his arm around me I told him, this was on my bucket list. He said something in response, but do not know what. Like, okay. Then I gave him my wrapped gift from the Salvador Dali Museum and he said awww, thank you. The photo lady grabbed it out of my hand as I was giving it to him. She had told us an hour before to give all gifts to her, while standing in the lobby with a couple necklaces draped over her arm. No way was I going to do that. At least she did not arrest me. :-) Adam had one of his black hats on, however it was not turned backwards, which I thought it was. Discovered that when I got the photo online yesterday. And he wore his snake shirt. Had to laugh, the sand box getup would have been an improvement. In the photo, Adam has a soft smile on his face and I look like an idiot, total full smile, like I just hit the jackpot. Haha, which in my mind I had. I don’t know if that pic is ever going to see the light of day. Yes, the photo op was impersonal, but I am glad I did it. Ok, now the concert is starting with Alex Newell. Man, was he good!! He got the dance party going big time. The sound was unbelievable! I had a good seat, 8 rows back squarely dead center!! As I would soon discover, dedicated Adam fans from all over North America came to the flat lands of Kansas to see their Idol. These were not casual fans! I did not meet one person from Kansas, they were from Toronto, Maryland, Iowa, Dallas, Missouri. Adam started the concert with a bang and never let up! His voice was beautiful, thou he shied away from some high notes. He left out Bowie’s Let’s Dance, but we got WTTS in all its glory!! The energy he and his team emit is unreal. The entire audience stood the whole concert. They were having a ball! And Adam knew it. Later, when he asked who was attending their first concert with him, some hands went up. But when he asked who kept coming back for more, he brought the house down. It was deafening. One of his comments, We are not in Kansas any more Toto. The audience was all ages, besides the women, their were lots of men and children. Around me I saw 2 young male gay couples. Also some very enthusiastic children. One boy, about 10, stood on his chair before the concert started and got the crowd clapping and shouting Adam! Adam! Adam! Two young girls with their mother sat next to me. They were wearing dance tutu’s under denim jackets and stood on their chairs to see the show. When the concert was over I asked if they liked the show, they both answered yes! And one added - And we got to take the day off of school! They were from the neighboring state of Missouri. I said, Wow, then that makes it extra special! I had a super glambert on the other side of me. When things slowed down, in between songs, or during a slow song, she would yell out, I love you Adam! That was a bit disconcerting, but it was good seeing the love people have for Adam. She went to the M & G, plus bought 6 T-shirts! Talking about the merchandise, that line was never shorter than a half block long. Stand outs for me were ALN and TOH, my favorite song. He has got the ALN performance down pat. I still like the MOO and what comes after that! And of course Ghost Town with the 3 of them looking ghost eyed at the audience while moving in sync. The light show was to die for!! The concert ended with IIHY. He announced it would be the last song , which included short introductions of the band. That is when I brought out my glow stick! Ended up being kinda embarrassed that I was the only one who did that. Is that passé now? Adam ended the concert by blowing tons of kisses to the audience. So we knew there would be no encore. The house lights went on immediately. I think it was about 75 min long and we were all totally overjoyed. Walking out the door I saw Alex taking selfies with his fans and they were lined up a long way back. Good for him! Now I needed to call my taxi guy, but a glambert I met from Dallas graciously offered to give me a ride back to my hotel. While sitting in her car waiting for the traffic to clear, we were excitedly sharing and editing our photos and videos of the night. Deleting some. We laughed so hard when I said, Now do I NEED this one? Yeah, she said, it is need, not want. As we left the parking lot, we saw about 100 fans crowded around Adam’s bus. I remembered how I did that during the Glamnation tour and was lucky to see him and get his autograph. He spent a lot of time with us so many yrs ago. I wondered if these people would be so lucky. I kinda doubted it. Adam was not up to par and I heard the Cotillion tweeted that Adam was in his bus in his pajamas eating a burrito. I can just picture that, Adam in pajamas? The whole experience went so smoothly, I needn’t of worried. I loved every minute, it was all worth it. The glow continues. Great recap!!!!! Great recap so glad you had s great time. I was there sitting 3 rows behind you I remember the little boy dancing and the girls in the tutu.I drove from Grove Ok with my daughter who is from Jasper Mo. I am trying to understand why Adam's team would book him in some of these venues with this type of small stage. I know the touring with Demi mess has a part to play in it but, surely, his team could do better than this size stage and room. I usually don't comment about the venues but this venue size made me shake my head.JMHO This venue has a seating capacity of 2,000 which is very much in line with the rest of this tour. The stage is just small for the venue size, but Adam has performed on smaller stages. Better than not having a concert at all. For people like me who were unable to go to venues farther away its s blessing and I drive 4+ hours. Seeing Adam is seeing Adam no matter the venue.
