I, too, was shocked reading yesterday's thread that Deb passed away. I know she hadn't been posting as often and mentioned some health issues but it really was unexpected news. She seemed like such a good soul and a Super Adam fan. She will definitely be missed. ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ It makes me sad because she had just retired due to Covid and was looking forward to doing more travel to see Adam. She wasn't that old so yeah, this hit me hard.

How do you find posts from a specific poster? I know that she had posted not too long ago, but my sense of time these days is not always too accurate. But it didn't seem there was anything to indicate that her health was such that she was in hospice. I'm just so stunned, and I'm really upset by this news. Her last post was August 14th. I'm confused because she said nothing about hospice. God, I hope this is wrong.

How about some captions for that photo of Adam on the ATV? "Hmmm. Maybe I should have made a left turn back there. The map says the cafe is up here somewhere. God, this helmet is hot." Somebody on Twitter captioned it "Looking for the Three Headed Sea Witch". That one cracked me up!

Love that happy photo of Adam and Oliver. I guess their portmanteau name would be Adiver LOL! Just looking at that photo of the New York crowd makes me think, NOPE! Large groups of people gives me the willies now and I think it might take a bit to get back to normal for me. My province was doing great in early July, but full vaccination has sort of stalled around 75% of people over the age of 12 -- which is good compared to some other places, but not nearly enough for herd immunity. As a result, our hospitals are getting busier with mostly unvaccinated Covid patients. I know a number of people who are vaccine hesitant for all sorts of (in my opinion) stupid reasons. It is really hard to discredit all that misinformation that is out there. It seems it is all about civil rights now. What happened to civic responsibilities and for the common good?? Anyhow, it seems more employers here might start requiring vaccinations or lots of testing once workers return to the office. Hopefully, people will start changing their minds and get the vaccine. Actually when you put Gliese and Lambert together, you could get Glambert. LOL

He's such a cutie. Some people have a really fucked up view of what's supposed to be "masculine" or "feminine". I remember when my son was in school, I think it was Middle School, he was into everything from playing basketball, to track to music, and wanted to learn to tap dance. He basically wanted to learn to do everything. One of the parents "warned" me that I should keep an eye on him, because apparently dancing wasn't fitting for a boy. What?? I'm happy that at least some of our citizens are getting past the "dresses are for girls" and "flannel and jeans are for boys" mentality. Interesting to see that he is a Paid Partner for Calvin Klein. Good for him; he is determined to do his own thing with fashion and no doubt, it helps to pay for school. He seems very goal oriented.

I don't get Leslie's post that Adam reposted. Disclaimer...I'm not watching the Olympics, and I don't find her funny at all...so there's a good chance I'm missing something lol. Their performance is absolutely spectacular. If you watch it, you will see that they were synchronized from the time they walked out all the way through the routine. It was like break dancing in water. Outstanding; nothing funny about the post.

I hope many are thrilled and having fun with Adam's makeup tutorial tho I have no interest, lol. I do wear makeup and always have. And I have always done makeup for friends and relatives, and their teens, for special occasions like proms, pageants and special events. But when Adam wears makeup (when it is heavy and OTT), it is more rock and roll and glam rock. None of my female friends, relatives or teens would be in need of such a look. They would never ask for my help again. HA! So it is a pass for me. I may not wear the heavy eye makeup but I actually tried some of his blending techniques and they work! I like how he used the brushes to blend in various highlights. Truth be known, I do actually use a lot of cover, foundation, blush, bronzer and highlighters but that just makes me look normal; without it, I look like I'm 200 years old. People think it's a natural look! HAH!!!

I suppose I am just throwing this out to the forum in general as I finalize my intentions for the Venetian shows. I just called the Venetian and they fundamentally have no serious Covid protocols in place...they take folks word for Vax. status and ask you wear a mask if you are unvaccinated, but they are not asking for any verification and we know how that goes. I currently have really good ticket for the 29th [Friday, excellent, 2nd row(C) 3 from inside aisle in Section 1,($186.10 USD all fees & taxes in) ] and still very good seat in Section 3, Row P, also 3 from inside aisle (the 2 seats beside me went for over 3 times the ($108.30 all fees and taxes in) I paid). The costs will be higher if I return them to ticketmaster...not certain how that works... Being from Canada means I have flight costs and risks as well as hotel ones. Health insurance costs for the US is astronomical and they could decide not to cover covid costs at any time. I am looking to sell them, for what I paid...and thought I would offer here for a couple of days before going to Ticketmaster or Stub Hub. They are both a better seat and price than anything else available, I think....they are both singletons... I am sick at having to make this decision but I really do not see things getting better given the politicization of this whole issue. We have our share of hesitancy in Canada as well...but it is not as Party Political or as widespread as in the US. Our borders are supposed to open up in the next few months...but if US numbers do what is expected, I doubt that will really happen. Most Canadians are happy to stay protected from a lot of travel...so there is a good chance I would not be able to travel anyway. I also have a room at the Best Western, next to the Venetian, with double Queen beds....for a total of $489.78 USD all in for 2 nights...20th and 30th. They are easy to cancel so no problem, I just thought I would let someone know if they were interested. I will likely hold off cancelling until I know about the tickets at least. If the tickets are not wanted or someone wants me to take a loss...at this point, there is no reason to do that and I will hang on for a bit longer. LA numbers are going up rapidly as well so I worry for Adam going about in crowded bars with no mask...vaccination does not mean you won't get the disease...just that you likely will not get really ill...you can still transmit to others. That is another issue though and he is a big boy....but I am surprised...we have video of him leaning in and talking loudly with a fan ... for a selfie...with no masks in sight.... fwiw...I would love to be talked out of it from someone familiar with flying in and out of Canada, and Vegas....and with the trends we see here about the US. I have had tickets and plans for this show since the very beginnings of Covid.... and this has been --and still is--a really difficult decision and email, to make. I am posting this to the whole forum because there has been almost no activity on the meet up threads for ages. I was in Vegas last month and on the flight and in the airport, the masks were mandatory. In the hotels there was a mix of people both masked and unmasked so you could certainly wear a mask with no problem. The hotels looked spotless and smelled clean. Even in the casino areas there were disinfectant products that you could use if you chose to. I'm vaccinated and truthfully I felt pretty safe. I work with money and people and frankly, I feel less comfortable at work than I did in Vegas. I don't know if that helps. I'm going to see Manilow and Adam and feel pretty ok with that.
