Do you think Adam has been doing his own hair?? Sides are way trimmed up and you know that color has to be done at some point. I was laughing -- it looks like Roger's drum kit is in a garage or a basement. It's probably a sound isolating room or something like that. For sure, nothing fancy!

All I know is that when I hear that "ring" it sends chills up my spine. It IS like a pure ping. Now I know what words to use to describe it when I'm trying to explain to someone what it is. I don't hear it all the time but when I do I sense that Adam is in the best vocal voice at the moment. I wish I could think of a few video's where it comes through - I know quite a few of WWTLF - can anyone think of any others? .......looking to go down the rabbit hole!

A little OT but it seems to be a slow day --
Harry Stiles was recently interviewed by Howard Stern and did his version of Sledgehammer and his new song (something like Adore). In any case, it was a good interview and I can see Adam and him getting along very well both musically and just in general. He had some interesting observations about musical longevity.
Yesterday (maybe the day before) there was some discussion about regional vs national vs global music exposure and it reminded me of something I had experienced a very long time ago. I was living in SE Asia in the mid to late 60's and our music exposure was very limited. When I got back to the States, I was riding from the airport to a friends house in Seattle. The station I was playing was current and they played Golden Oldies -- one of which was "Incense and Peppermint" by the Strawberry Alarm. I fell in love with it immediately. I just remember flipping out as to me it wasn't a Golden Oldie and then I started wondering how much music I had missed just because I wasn't stateside. Found out that The Monkees were a "thing" and even had a TV show......still don't know all their names.

So, I was wondering, do you think Adam calls Pharaoh up and talks to him over the phone when he is away?

This article is from February.. Billboard just went down a notch in my thoughts. I guess they can only rank according to singles released. There is so much more when you listen to Adam's albums. These picks are not even close to mine - haha.

I have to agree that the EMA’s were the beginning of all the magic—- all the POSSIBILITIES of all that was to come. Standing there in the shadows, no introduction needed—- that awesome air of mystery... But I have to say it was Kiev— Adam standing there in front of the masses on that magical night! To this day, when I ache to hear his voice, I still go back to that concert and listen to Adam duet with Roger—-Under Pressure—- and marvel again at his WHY, cascading across the multitude as they joined in. I had never heard such an extended note so beautifully expressed in all my life. On a personal note, I have to say that the night in Morongo was absolutely unforgettable. All in white, the mysterious soft rainfall in the desert. He looked and sounded so beautiful- took my breath away. Wicked Game-OMG And to think I almost didn’t go that night!!!! I watch that WHY over and over still to this day. My favorite Under Pressure to be sure. Also, I Want It All from that same performance -- jamming there next to Brian - the whole night was just unbelievable to me. Remember? It was a TV feed - clear picture, great sound - it was on really late at night here. I sat mesmerized in front of my monitor, sipping my brandy, and just cried with joy that he was nailing it. It was like a continual YES, YES, YES! from one song to the next.
