I like Casey's voice, but not so much his personality. He seemed kind of full of himself last night after he finished singing. Oh, i havent watched last night's episode yet. I am obviously spoiled by humble Adam. He was probably just pumped with adrenaline after the performance. Let me know what you think after you watch it! My husband was actually the first to mention it. Thought it would turn people off if it continues..... Oops, back to Adam.....wonder how long he'll be in Denver? There should be more delicious pics surfacing today!!! Yeah!

I like Casey's voice, but not so much his personality. He seemed kind of full of himself last night after he finished singing.

Casual musings......Lately, we've seen a few appearances by Florence, of Florence and the Machine, singing non-album related songs (like at the Oscars). People are really acknowledging and appreciating her great voice. My wish is that Adam would be approached to perform something on TV that would really showcase that out-of-this-world voice. I really don't understand why that isn't happening. Heck, I think Santana would have been well served to include a song with Adam on his album.

Okay, been out of lurking for a couple days--what Adam tweet? Did he comment on James Durbin. I don't want to criticize a guy who has a condition, but after liking him a lot at first, I'm finding that he does fall short of the Adamness quotient. So, did Adam Tweet about James? So I tuned in after seeing Adam's tweet and when I heard James D. sing my first thought was that it sounded like there was some kind of special effects on the mic. Cassie, Kandie? Am I just being crazy or could this be part of the new more polished Idol? It's also interesting to see everyone working the stage and getting the "Adam" treatment with stage production. They are all getting coached this year and Adam still worked the stage and had cooler production without all the help. I liked Casey the best so far but missed everyone before James. I'm missing Simon too, some of those performances needed a dose of reality, the judges are over praising mediocre performances, and failing to call out bad ones. Here is his tweet: adamlambert Adam Lambert I dunno about you guys but I'm favor of more original vocalists on Idol... That have their own sound going on. Up to interpretation as to whether he meant he wasn't hearing anyone original or he was and liked it.....

NoAngel and Q3, great editorials today! Any opportunity to see Adam perform live provides magical moments, but Fantasy Springs was extra special. I feel so lucky to have been there. It was the start of a year that saw me finally having the right amount of vacation-time left at year end.... NONE! And Q3, I loved your essay. These lines especially resonated with me. [From Q3] The exact same ideas that people initially dislike in an artist, are the things that make an artist significant.
Over time, with repetitive exposures, thinly-veiled attempts to differentiate by an artist become tiresome and the audience gets fatigued and moves on to the next pop sensation. But sometimes when an artist is uniquely talented that differentiation becomes what makes them "iconic".Adam is experiencing some of that pop sensation success now but how lucky are we to stan a man whose talent is so diverse and potential so great? There's every reason to believe that he will have endless artistic and entertainment opportunities to keep him, and us, satisfied for many years to come. It's so great to see so many new faces lately. (The "old" ones are pretty great too.) New people on ATop... "welcome newbies" and literally new faces on Twitter and ATop today. It was amazing being on Twitter last night and watching in 3...2...1-style the "express yourself movement" that happened after Adam's Tweet. I like how someone said if Adam asked us to "jump"... would we? Oh wait, he did... and we did! :D Have a great day everyone! winks!!!!!!! Hey girl!! Don't think I told you how much I enjoyed meeting you in LA!!!! I love, love, love all the great folks I've met because of Adam. Fantasy Springs was beyond incredible and will always be special to me. It was one of those "Kara D." moments where I was confused, and happy all at the same time. Mesmerized would be more like it. Almost couldn't communicate for awhile when it was all over...

So far, this is my favorite sentence from the piece on Adam: He hopes to redefine what counts as mainstream, not fit into it.What do you think? Is this true? I certainly hope so. I think this statement might be born out by US sales figures for FYE. Don't get me wrong, I think his sales are fine. Just saying that I think the statement IS true and that his first effort was a damned good balancing act of redefining mainstream (ART) vs. fitting in (BUSINESS). Going this route means platinum will take a while, especially in US where definition of mainstream is so much narrower than many other countries. Of course, I'm tired and could be talking out my ass. link again: bullybloggers.wordpress.com/2009/11/23/adam%E2%80%99s-return/Hahahaha hoopla!!! I love your humor!! And....I totally agree!! ETA: OMG, I totally swoon everytime I look at my avi!!!!!!! NEVER had anyone affect me like this!

Ok, so the article is too complicated on a late night to wake anyone up - where the hell is everybody? Alright, this belongs more in the shallow end and for Gelly's (and anyone else's) photo collection: twitpic.com/43n4wbSource: 80s_and_sunny posted this on AO. Her husbands' handywork. Cute LOL!!! Craazyforadam, I've got that review opened in a tab to read tomorrow when I can give it some mental energy. Thanks so much for sharing the link!!! Me too!!!
