Much appreciated [/IMG]
I'm glad! I hate jumping back and forth between two threads and trying to figure out what goes where!

Agree completely. Although, I did donate; peer pressure, I think I would do ANYTHING to make sure Adam's magnitude of a talent is given its due. ANYTHING. All kinds of real crap is up the charts, so if it takes extra $s to show support for the mega talent- WHY NOT? How on earth will his music get to people if radio does not play? so, if it takes extra push to have the radio play - it is my pleasure to push. As simple as that. ABSOLUTELY I am here ready to download any gifting!!!!!!!

A few things...I really don't want to rain on anyone's parade but I want to make certain you all are aware of something. Queen has filmed many of their shows only to not release them. In fact Brian did a solo gig at the Royal Albert Hall in 1998 specifically meant to be released on DVD later that year. It still hasn't been released. Queen's gig at Hammersmith 1975 was filmed for broadcast. It still hasn't been released (although to be fair it has finally been mentioned for release.) I could go on. They may just be documenting for themselves, using it in a documentary later on down the line, maybe making a few bonus tracks or what not. BUT just because it is being professionally filmed, does not mean necessarily that a DVD will be released. Sure it's got a better chance than if it wasn't being filmed at all. AND to bring a positive note, they did film and release one gig from each of the tours with Paul Rodgers so maybe it is their intention...I just want everyone who is so excited to join Queen fan world for just a moment...NOTHING is offical until you get the press release from QOL about when it is going to be released...EVEN if they say it's going to happen. This is a group who first mentioned an Anthology Box Set in 1994 and said should be coming in 2003 at the latest. Still waiting Secondly - Dragon Attack. From what I inferred Queen was recording in Munich and the whole band was kind of falling to the darkside - they were all going out clubbing and drinking - Freddie started his cocaine use here. The room is probably the Sugar Shack where they all went and got pissed after recording sessions. It's all about the darker side of life that they were all getting involved with. And Mack is the producer of the album (and a few others). Just quick insights.
Interesting news. However, both Brian and Roger have been so supportive of Adam and his solo career that I think it's more likely they will release a DVD then not. JMOI like YOUR idea because in this fandom we flail over any wonderful scenario then deal with it, if we have to, when it doesn't occur. Optimism and anticipation are our friends. Realty is a distant cousin who we don't necessarily want to bring to the party unless forced to.

Just out of curiosity, I wandered over to the DDD forum. The guys there can be quite harsh about Adam, tho' they respect his technical skills. Thing is, because they acknowledge he is so good, if he does anything that falls short of brilliant, in their estimation, they carp about it (i.e. the EMA performance wasn't challenging enough for his vocal ability). Well, they are begrudgingly acknowledging that Adam is doing a pretty decent job fronting for Queen. ;D ;D I know that we are not supposed to bring over posts from other forums or even mention them, but in this case, since we have quoted their ranking of Adam as in the top 5 Best frontmen in the business, I thought it would be okay. www.digitaldreamdoor.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=568&hilit=Adam+Lambert&start=3000Nice!!!!!!!! Another one bites the dust and falls in the rabbit hole

talon, thanks for putting the rumor of a DVD in perspective for us. We can get ahead of ourselves occasionally. :-/ I think we have a better chance if they film all three concerts. As rather new to Adam fandom, you may not know that Adam is a perfectionist and a control freak (with a smile). Adam had one of his GNT concerts filmed, but it was several months before we heard that they were going to release a DVD. And then months of delays because Adam had to proof everything (multiple times) and kept wanting changes to be made. It finally came out about 8 months later. And, don't forget the November, March, Mapril, May release date for Trespassing. The boy is meticulous, and in that way, it sounds like he matches Queen to a tee. Three filmed concerts in the same venue allows them to pick and choose the best performances, or knowing Adam's penchant for multiple takes and splicing the best bits together, best parts of each performance. I am cautiously excited. Oh definitely be cautiously optimistic I am too. I just think that jumping from a security guard saying there are cameras filming for a DVD to the DVD will be released before Christmas is QUITE the insanely optimistic jump! Jumps like that usually end up hurting I really would love it if they did this song... Given that it is Hammersmith Thanks for that. I think Adam's voice would be great on that. Oh absolutely it would be. And if they did it, he better be That happens to be my all time favorite Queen song. In this case, the release has nothing to do with Adam and is completely in Q's hands, so your experience and historical perspective is very valuable. Thank you for sharing, Talon. Yeah that's the thing - I think if it were to happen, Adam would have minimal input. I mean I'm sure Brian and Rog would invite him in on it to offer his opinion if it were to move forward, but it's got to get to that stage first. Heck for all we know the tape is to send to John Deacon because he's such a recluse now If....... and it's a big IF... they were to add a new song or two to the set list at the London shows I wish for 'Save Me'. Which would be a brilliant choice for Adam....... just imagining him sing this gives me goosies! A buddy of mine and I played "the setlist game" in which we predicted what songs would be played. Funny thing is this song made both our lists. Brian recently re-recorded it with Kerry Ellis so I know it's on his mind...I'm actually kind of surprised it didn't happen...it would seem to be a perfect match
