Wait, did they just skip "The Show Must Go On?" Brian did it with the audience. They sang along to his guitar. It was lovely. TSMGO is much beloved by Freddie fans. So in London, they gave the fans a chance to sing it all together. That makes sense, thank you for explaining, I didn't know. This is where you and Talon are very valuable with the history lessons. |

I stand by my impression. "Mincing" is a word that is often used to ridicule gay men. And the way he said "a couple of old Queens" instead something like of "a couple of old members of the group Queen" says to me that he has a problem with rock 'n' roll ever being associated with gay men.I agree. "Mincing" has been a code word for gay for a couple of centuries at least. I've seen it in 18th century stuff. Liberace even filed a libel suit over it in the '50s (yes, against a British newspaper that trashed him) and won. I wonder why the total disrespect. I looked at the guy's website and he seemed more thoughtful than what his outrageous tweet reflected. Oh well. Fuck him. |

We have seen MANY comments from Queen fans that mock Adam for being gay despite their professed admiration for Freddie. It's a disconnect, but it happens. Besides, do we know that this guy has any more respect for Freddie than he does for Adam? |
