What JHud says is " Adam Lambert. Uhhhhh..... I wouldn't even....... OK, I'm gonna be quiet. Yeah, Adam Lambert." Can't tell if this is a diss to Adam or Fanny? Since she later sort of refers to herself as a diva (skinny vs. fat diva), I would assume that she was placing Adam over Fantasia. I think it was a complement to Adam and a sort of backhanded diss to Fantasia. JHud should have met Adam during the pre-Grammy Clive Davis party. Clive gave a shoutout to Adam. Given that this year, she is Clive's girl, I would expect that she would support the artists that Clive is supporting. Fantasia and Jennifer were on the same season and I've read that they didn't get along at all. So I assumed she was going to say something negative about Fantasia and stopped herself. Diva here is positive.

Apparently Jennifer (who as I recall is very religious) thinks Gays are sinners. Or at least THOUGHT that in Dec 2006. www.celebitchy.com/2354/jennifer_hudson_says_gays_are_sinners_but_shell_accept_them_as_fans/Perhaps after having been in show biz for 5 years she's evolved. I'd like to think she has. Trying not to be sensitive about the "Diva" thing because I know Adam would probably laugh, but I don't think it's meant to be flattering when said by a straight woman about a gay man that you hardly know. And he plugs her music (as he does for so many)? Sad. Someone slap some sense into me. ;D And btw - I've been a fan of hers since S3. Ok - maybe rama is right.

Hey guys, just a little reminder that Idol talk belongs in the Idol thread unless it specifically relates to Adam. And since Adam isn't appearing this week, I don't think discussing this week's guests is particularly relevant to the news thread. :D

Thanks, Mys*&@^#r, Wal, 4Msrmyn, and Gelly for the congrats for my son. And, yes, indie music is very often downloaded from free sites rather than purchased.
Seeing how few albums many of the bands on the Billboard chart have sold sure points out how well Adam is doing. Drives me crazy when some people talk about Adam having disappointing sales because he hasn't sold over a million in the USA. They don't even know what's up with the music industry these days -

A question for Q3. Adam seems to be having a lot of control over who he's writing with for the album. Would RCA have given him carte blanche or does he have a specific budget for that? What happens to albums that aren't accepted, does that budget impact the album that does get released? I'm thinking about the rumors that other people might have submitted work that wasn't accepted by the label. Do they eat those costs when they get sent back to the drawing board?
