 I really wanted Joshua to win but that that scream off he had with Fantasia was a mess. What on earth was she wearing?

I only watched the last 2 minutes of last nights show and didn't even watch Tuesday nights performances. That performance by Jessica and Jennifer Holiday was incredible and it makes Philip's win even more shameful IMO. It's like in 09 when we watched Adam blow the roof off with Kiss and Queen and then watched Kris take the title. It makes NO SENSE. |

When Jessica and Ms.Holliday performed... my entire family including the young kids leapt out of their seats and cheered... then my 14 year old said .. she is like Adam in his finale... then she looked at me and said... she is not going to win, isn't she ?
After that I just walked out of the room and did not watch the rest of the show.... reminded me of Adam's season...
But with Adam , he is already a grown and mature person who can take care of himself... but Jessica and her family ... they have no idea what craziness they are wading into... but the good thing... it looks like Jessica is made of stronger stuff... I think that kid will fight to become a star... I think her not winning will just fuel her ambition... how she must have some control over her work...
I guess Iovine was right when he said when Jessica turns 18 she will be a problem... yeah... she will have a mind of her own and labels and agents will stop having a free hand in mishandling her talent....

Well not many surprises in last night's show, although I did kind of enjoy it in a perverse kind of way. I guess I get a kick out of the WTF moments as much as the OMG moments. Hah!
It's been nice chatting with you all through this last season, especially you MyS*&@^#r -- thanks for bringing the goodies to this thread!

TV Guide @tvguide Ratings: #Idol has lowest-rated finale ever bit.ly/KtONAnI haven't watched the finale yet, I dvr'd it and just hasn't had the time to watch it. I came home from son's concert and went straight to the end of the recording and saw P2 won. I wasn't mad that he won, he is a nice kid who wanted this as much as the other kids. Oh, the last song he sang on Tuesday night was nice, probably what got him the votes. |

What was said above about Phillip and his new single sounds pretty funny. Maybe he plans to be indie Idol!

Yes... the shadow cometh.. whatever your name is season 11 winner.  Wouldn't count him out yet. He just sold 276,000 of his coronation single "Home", comparatively he is one of the highest selling winners. I think its going to be interesting to see what happens here. I don't have a whole lot of hope for him. The test comes after the souvenir singles are bought. The winner is essentially a HAC artist that doesn't carry a melody very well. Autotune will help and Interscope will do its best, but we know how hard it is to push a song up the top 40 charts. Top40 is the one that will give you sales numbers. I don't care for KA, but I think he is more talented. The line dividing between them is not that big. Personally, I'm not a fan of any of season 11, so thats not a driving force in my opinion about him. Mostly my opinion is formed by whats on the charts now and the difficulty many more seasoned artists are having. |

There will be initial interest because of Idol, and the fact that he has pretty blue eyes and a nice smile, but that will all get old very quickly. |
