Jablea, it's so nice to see you. You haven't been around much lately. Hope to see you more often. I haven't posted much lately either, but I'm still here. Hi back at yah. It's funny cause I'm here every day but lol I forget if I don't post nobody knows it. As a Libra my dander tends to get up when I feel the scales tipping with anti-so&soisms so I try to keep my trap shut and just scroll. But I'm usually a silent squee-er too so it all combines to keep me quiet on the keyboard but here in spirit. I have been comparing this season to season 8 because they all do seem really tight #yeah4sharedhousing and the vids they showed last night were cute. Ten however had more "stars" (air quotes are deliberate) than Eight which gives it a whole different dynamic. Ten had early buzz over Pia, Casey, James, Alaina, Scotty but there wasn't someone who was a must watch, they were all interchangable. Eight had one STAR from begining to end and everybody else was supporting cast.

Jablea, I'm a Libra too. That's why after I post an opinion I feel the need to apologize. Keeping those scales balanced is a bitch. Hell, I yell at my dog for doing something bad and then hug her and apologize. Any ideas on how I can explain the whole Libra scale thing so she doesn't think I'm totally nuts? It's a wonder she's not neurotic. TMI, but I'm also diagnosed as bipolar so you can imagine what havoc that causes to those damn scales. Lot's of positive in always wanting to see the other person's point of view and be fair though. It's all good. I'm not a real believer in astrology, horoscopes, etc., but those damn scales prove me wrong time and again.
I agree with you that this season had a group of interchangable contestants. Haley finally stood out towards the end, but I guess that was too late. I hope she gets a great career out of the exposure.
I'm still gonna watch next year and hopefully there will be better contestants and the judges will actually judge. Oh, and my biggest wish is that Randy falls off of that GaGa mountain never to return.

I completely disagree with James on Gaga's concerts! If any parent takes a young child to a Gaga concert they are an idiot! Why would they expect her act to be G rated? Do they listen to the lyrics? Do they know what a "disco stick" is?????? Do they know what her "muffin" is???? Have they not seen one single video??? And, if they hadn't why wouldn't they check those out first before they go???
That being said, if she is performing on TV, for a family show, during the family hours, then ..... yes, she needs to take that into consideration and do a G performance. Idol is a family show. She performed at 9:30. IMO, all the people who complained about Adam's perfomance at the AMAs, which was 2 hours of raunch before he even took the stage, should now file a complaint against FOX and Gaga.
But her concerts??? No way! She is an artist and people going to her concerts should know what to expect! Their protest of her act should be to not buy a ticket!

Gotta side with Lee on this one. Lee tweets: Hey everyone, first off I want to say congrats to Scotty & Lauren, awesome job. Well done Scotty! Secondly, just for the record... I was not asked to be involved in the Finale. It wasn't until about 2 minutes before they announced that Nigel had approached me and asked if he could "borrow" me for a second. I didnt feel a last second jump on stage was appropriate. It was Scotty's moment.I appreciate American Idol, and the opportunity it has given me. And the people who have made that show possible. I am not angry, or bitter etc. It was an amazing Finale, and I would have loved to be a part of it. I just wasnt asked.Good luck to all the Contestants and stay true to yourself. Thanks everyone for your support, tour coming up... Good times I'll talk to you all soon. Love ya!

Maybe Durbin and Gaga can make amends and team up and write a PG rated song together...about whores and prostitutes! ;)That would be a nice, family-friendly song. :

Posted this in the main thread but figured I should put it here too.
I think I finally figured it out. James Durbin is going to be HUGE. He is going to bring metal back and be THE KING OF METAL. But not to worry because all this is going to happen in the alternate universe that is CCM otherwise known as Contemporary Christian Music. Yes there is Christian Metal and given the average talent level of the CCM scene he will most likely be a superstar. He will have some crossover appeal due to Idol but then again how much do we hear about the other CCM star idols like Clay Aiken, Phil Stacy, Chris Sligh, etc.
The other thing that I figured out is the because James doesn't have natural filters or awareness of socially appropriate behavior he has had to learn these things which he started out fine because he was involved in theater but somewhere along the line he became a huge Wrestling fan and his interview style sounds like those WWE wrestlers with all their trash talking each other and shit. So apparently he doesn't think there is a problem with trash talking other artists. That's my theory except well maybe he's just an Oasis fan and is today's Liam Gallagher in training.
