Forgive me, but I'm bored. Besides Adam, does anyone have a favorite AI performance? This one probably rates the highest for me. Fantasia - Summertime But because I love Bo, this is probably my favorite. Bo Bice - In a Dream I've been watching, but not enough to have any favs. Maybe after they each perform a solo on the HW stage, I will be more interested. Does that happen next week?? |

Ya know what 4Maemyn, even though I've been watching for years I still don't know how the format works. My guess is to ask myspenser50 - she's the expert. The performances I posted are from past seasons, I don't have any favorites from this season so far - except for Jacob's God Bless the Child.

Jazzrocks, I just do.not.get how this guy gets paid to write about music. Seriously...doesn't the paper get a lot of complaints about him? And I don't mean about his opinions about singers (although they never have seemed very informed or intelligent to me), but I mean complaints about his writing abilities. How many times did he use the phrase "strange little man" and "Are they on drugs?" He just reeks of being spiteful and uninformed and homophobic and not-so-bright to me. Ugh. Have you ever met him in person? Just curious... |

Have you ever met him in person? Just curious... I never met him but Rowe did! She was filming GNT Musikfest and wrote about her encounter with him. Of course it's lost forever now on PF. I seem to remember her saying he came in after she did and forcibly took her front row seat. He was very serious throughout the entire show and never smiled. He didn't seem to be enjoying it at all and she was astounded when she saw the very positive review he wrote. As far as complaints to the paper - I doubt it but I don't know. Probably many local people have the same tastes as he does. :( And don't care about his lack of writing skills. Good or bad, he mentions Adam a lot and that keeps me entertained.  |

Bo Bice - In a Dream sugaree, I love those performance by Fantasia and Bo. This is also one of my all time faves from Idol, even with the broken note at the end. LOL |

(never saw the love) Summertime-was alright..but. was not a favorite barely watched that year. I'm not a Fantasia fan but I thought her Summertime was fantastic. Not a fan of Jason Castro either. His voice is fine but I was turned off by the constant whining of his fans about him being "thrown under the bus". And this was before Kris Allen. Are we supposed to talk about all seasons here or just S10? I don't know. |

I went to a Jason Castro concert. Old movie theater. Excellent acoustics. About 20 feet away. Jason has grown soooo much musically. I did not stop smiling for 2 hours.
He is so comfortable now talking to the audience between songs. Still goofy as hell, but that's part of what made me smile. He even said several times that he was goofy. And none of it sounded scripted. He just opened his mouth and said whatever the hell he felt like. Funny, funny moment. He was introducing his single Just Fall In Love Again and meant to say he had some success with it, but instead said "I've had some sex with this song". He, the band and the entire audience just cracked up. The man was red as a beet.
Every song sounded wonderful. He has really come into his own with his voice. I was listening to some of his Idol stuff and his cd before the concert and almost had an uh oh moment and was thinking that maybe I wouldn't enjoy the concert because he didn't sound that good (to my ears) back then. No worries there. Not a bad note. Beautiful man, beautiful voice, great talent.

Durbin is scary. Loved Scotty - he should win - awesome bass voice! Lusk is amazing but will not win - he is too gay  weird... |

Durbin is scary. Loved Scotty - he should win - awesome bass voice! Have to agree with this completely. I thought Scotty was great and I don't even listen to country music! The judges don't appear to be doing any real critiquing though. |

I'm about halvsies so far for me. Sort of feels like the guys are all competing for AFL high notes. Don't remember this craving for high from the few other seasons I've watched. Didn't watch at all last year except for Adam's week and was not impressed with anyone.
