I love the lineup for the Live in the Vineyard concert!
Reading this quote from this Ad Age article, "Coke, Pepsi Won't Stand in the Way of Nicki Minaj 'American Idol' Deal," it seems like Nicki's a lock and Pepsi is handling it by not featuring her in ads domestically: "Pepsi works with some of the hottest stars in the world of music," Andrea Foote, a spokeswoman for the brand, told Ad Age. "So, it's no surprise that the producers of 'American Idol' would look to the Pepsi family to find their newest judge. Nicki remains a part of the Pepsi family on a global basis. We wish her the best as she takes on this new role."
At this point, I don't care who else is going to be on the panel with Adam. I just want them to make the announcement already! I guess we'll have to wait until he's back in the States, though.
(Just to follow up on my crazy speculation about a "Cuckoo" cameo for Nicki, she did do some "secret recording" in a studio in Texas at the beginning of the month. . . . I know the recording session probably has no relation to Adam or Idol and it's more likely that if she ever agreed to be featured on one of his songs it would happen later, after she's actually worked with him, but that doesn't stop my imagination from running wild and wondering "what if.")
