I confess I've had to laugh a few times when someone on this blog has mentioned that Sauli is somehow butcher than Adam's usual tastes in men, cause I don't really see it at all, and I swear I could have picked the guy out of a line up of fifty as the one Adam would fall for, LOL, but I don't care one way or the other: I love him to bits. I certainly, however, would hesitate before interpreting their relationship as some sort of rejection of Adam's WeHo roots. He took the kid to cirque-bizerk, after all. Edited for clarityWord to this. I don't see much of a difference either, certainly not from Drake. And I admit to bristling, whether intentional or not, at the subtle implication that butcher is better. Perhaps I'm misreading it but that's just sort of the vibe I get from it when it's put in a list of why Sauli is some sort of sign of Adam finding a "mature" boyfriend. I also have to say that I don't remember Drake ever being comfortable with PDA in front of the paps. And Brad never really had to deal with the paps while dating Adam so a PDA comparison is kind of silly. There's a huge difference with being publicly affectionate amongst friends and being affectionate in front of paps/strangers. ^^^^^^ True this. Most of the old Bradam pics were taken in gay clubs and Burnng Man - both places the norm for PDA among friends/couples. How many times since we've known Adam have we heard about him kissing guys in clubs? Lots. This is all very different from the way he acts in public when the paps are around.

WHOA. Sorry to push so many buttons! I did not say that Adam was seeking to abandon his roots, or his WeHo friends, but only that he said he was tired of the same old environment, day after day after day. we all feel that way sometimes. It was not the OUT interview, likely one from Australia, I believe. I have believed that this boredom was all tied up with the reasons that compelled him to audition for American Idol in an attempt to turn his life around.
Enter Sauli, sorry, he MUST be like a breath of fresh air. A gorgeous , intelligent, savvy, European man? With a completely different world view to what Adam is used to? Instant attraction for Adam. It was not my intention to diss Brad or Drake, or to incite their fans on this forum. I meant no offense, just stating an opinion.

It certainly wasn't that he was tired of WeHo in general or his friends - it was specifically about the "dating scene" and that it was very fake. I got the impression that he was saying it was more about hookups and not enough about relationships. He specifically said he was looking for something "fresh" now.

I'm also sorry if I misunderstood you--Internet-only communication can be tough sometimes.
