(Full Social Security Benefits.) You can opt to start getting benefits at 62. It goes up to 67 in small increments -- if you are born in 1960 or later it is 67. More info: www.socialsecurity.gov/retire2/agereduction.htmPart of the Social Security reform act. Many SS watchers expect it to be increased again to 69 or 70. ETA: Smokey -- you are not retired!!

Maybe I should scoot over to the dark side to say this, but: I am feeling emotionally drained waiting for this damn decision. YES I am too invested - I already know that But I want to FEEL SOMETHING -JOY or even RAGE!

Just a thought I had XFactor has not announced all their mentors yet, maybe they are up against Idol negotiating for Adam. He is the holdup.

Just a quick update: Molly at 1n10 will be back mid-week from OUTDoors! Camp and then I will find out how many tickets for the youth we can purchase for Adam's concert at the AZ State Fair. I suspect quite a bunch as you guys are amazing in your generosity - whether with ideas, thoughts or actual ticket donations. Love to all!
Also, I wanted to mention my daughter's recent wedding and how beautiful it was. She and Michael have been together for 9 years - every detail of their wedding and vows was so inspiring. The Adam connection, of course, is that they included three Trespassing songs in their wedding song list - Broken English, Cuckoo, and Never Close Our Eyes.
When Cuckoo started to be played, the whole dance floor erupted with excitement. What was so fun was how sooo many of the wedding guests (who came from places far and wide) knew the song. My family, of course, gifts Adam's music for every possible reason. I previously mentioned that everyone at the bachelorette party was gifted a copy of Trespassing, and it was "the gift" for wedding shower prizes. In any case, everyone seemed to know the song - enthusiastic singing and dancing to it. So much fun!
One thing I have never seen at a wedding was that they played, and basically everyone acted out, Bohemian Rhapsody. It was really something to behold...and of course inspired Adam thoughts also :-)
One last thought - I was so grateful for the principles of inclusion that the bride and groom wove throughout their wedding. In their vows they spoke of people who have beautiful love stories but are not acknowledged for their love. Then they spoke of their heartfelt wish for marriage equality. Many people later told me they had never heard this expressed so lovingly in such a formal, intimate setting.
The wedding was in Seattle's SoDo Park area (amazing venue and close to where Adam performed in downtown Seattle in 2010). Instead of little wedding "take aways", each guest received a "token of appreciation" where they could select a Seattle food bank, a performing arts non=profit, or 1n10. Based on their selection, the bride and groom are making a donation in each guests' honor to the non=profits.
It was inspiring and the added fun was that Adam's name came up many times throughout the evening. Thanks for listening! :-)
