I put this in the main thread but have deleted it there. This is how I think Candice was able to win.
I was just thinking today how the Idol voting has changed from 4 years ago. With that great facebook app that lets you vote 50 times in less than a minute people like me are getting their votes to count. I used to spend about 5 mins voting for a contestant after the show and would get through just once or twice then lose interest (except for during Adam's season). Now I'm able to vote so easily and quickly, I did it religiously every week and am probably putting in the same number of votes as tweens and teens and middle America.
I suspect Angie's huge twitter following are mainly young girls who at one time would have text continuously for 2 hours but now choose facebook voting. Candice's twitter followers are most likely older and there is less of them but then most older people do not have twitter but have facebook accounts. What I'm trying to say is that Candice's fanbase was a lot bigger than her twitter follower numbers would suggest.
Perhaps this is the start of the best singer winning and not just the singer with the most determined fans.

Very funny. But....... that's sorta what happened, don't you think? The girls didn't sabotage the guys, but, IMO, the producers sure did. I think it was mega-manipulated, and the guys didn't stand a chance this season.

Yeah! I don't think the girls sabotaged them. I'm sure it was the producers, but it was still funny.
