Hi Mys*&@^#r! Am I allowed to say in this thread that I am really, really happy about your SD M&G! I am hoping for a very detailed recap!!! And yes, I said before that none of the girls really wowed me, but Candice was definitely the best last night. I'm also thinking Curtis might go -- last night was not a very good performance. Thank you, happy! I cried when I got it. Silly, I know, but I was that excited! |

Lazaro should go home, but they'll probably keep him around.
Curtis is so annoying, I hope he goes home tonight.
And I guess I'll be watching the results shows for the Adam bit.

I actually lost my ability to speak, so I kinda wasted my opportunity to gush all over him and tell him how much I love him. He was such a dear, he spent several minutes with me and did all of the chattering for me. He told me that he really could sing and that I'd love the concert. I guess he thought I'd accidentally wandered into the auditorium and I'd never heard of him before. Anyway, I would have forever regretted not having that meeting, but I don't think I'd try it again. |

So glad Adam isn't a judge on Idol.. The show is a long yawn. Nicki coming in 15 minutes late yesterday.. unbelievable.. Mariah so dead..no personality..
Philip philips looked ill tonight,i was worried about him.

Though I might have issues with Curtis, the man had an amazing voice and now he is voted off in favor of at least 7 people whose voice could not hold a candle to his via hard luck stories, cutesy girls and probably Randy who didn't have the balls to keep him in. |

I just stumbled into an episode of AI - dear god not one of them made it through their songs on key, they over sang and under sang and Jimmy who ever the hell he is is a dick who gives them bad advice... Oh and the judgery are annoying and even the new TWOP recapper is boring (damn miss Jacob). So I guess that will be it for me for the season, seems pointless to watch show when you end up muting most of it!

I tried to watch through PP's performance truly I did, but my eyes glazed over. Never mind the yawn fest, idol is determined to make it a hit like Home. No hook, crappy melody and monotone vocals. I don't think even constant repeats of that song can worm it's way in, it's just so forgettable. Is top40 radio really playing that?
Curtis killed his chances when he was arrogant and mean to Charlie back in the Hollywood rounds. Add in his over singing and painful facial expressions, gyrations, smugness and no great voice could save him. Still, Lazaro should have gone home.

Lazaro has such a story though. You've got to admire his courage to stand there on a stage in front of millions of people. When Keith asked him a question on Wednesday, I thought "Oh no, Lazaro is going to have to answer that!" and I wondered if Keith wanted to take the question back as soon as he said it. Lazaro was able to form a good answer while under pressure. I get the impression that behind that stutter there is intelligence and a personality that he would love to express and it must be so incredibly frustrating for him. I remember in Vegas when Ryan asked him a question and you could see that though he wanted to answer fully, he gave up, answered yes and rolled his eyes at himself. However, he's only shown so much vocal talent and I don't think his story can take him too far. I am glad that he will make some money on the tour this summer.

The new single has not been picked up by Top 40 yet. One station is playing it in Wisconsin. However, it is in Top 20 on HAC, so if it goes high enough, some Top 40s might start spinning it. If Z100 is one of them, it will take off, just like Home did. The performance gave the single quite a big bump though on i-Tunes. It also gave a bump to Home and to his album. The thing I don't get about these 2 songs, Home and Gone, is that 1) they sound almost exactly the same to me. 2) they sound just like Mumford & Sons. So why not buy Mumford & Sons instead?! It's not my kind of music so I definitely do not get it. Plus, OMG! PP looked horrible last night! I thought he looked sick! |

I just did a 'rate the music' HAC survey and PP's and Mumford and Sons songs were back to back. IMO M&S have a much richer sound. I enjoy listening to M&S and think they are far superior to PP.

Well, I have been watching Idol at my sister's but frankly, nobody there I care about. Curtis definitely deserved to go!!
Doubt if I will bother to watch anymore. They are all boring. Only question is will Candice or Angie win??
