So great that we have such an incredible field of experts, like mszue. I went red(dish) twice. Once by accident, once on purpose. The accident was when my colorist's salon switched to Italian coloring product and the U.S. letter code for ash was the same as red in Italian. The second time on purpose to try something different. Didn't look good at all with my kind of olive-y complexion and both times it was a b*tch to get out. But it really does look nice on many ppl.

Unfortunately, this isn't something that can be forced. Most artists who hit big do so due to pure dumb luck. Right place at the right time, and all that. And honestly, the harder you push, the harder radio will dig its feet into the dirt. It is frustrating, but it's just the way things are. The best thing would be exposure. Well, duh, but I mean through other routes. Commercials, television shows, movies, etc. Hell, look at that "Da da da" song. It blew up specifically because of a commercial. If its well done, a commercial can definitely impact a songs popularity. It's just getting companies to use the songs. This is why the PLL episode is such an important thing. I wish you would post more often, Hermeticallysealed..such a level head you have. I'm only on the early stages of the thread and already feeling the emotion building. We ALL want Adam to succeed. I believe in him..I will request like crazy. Beyond that, I cannot make radio play TP if they decide not to. I sense that Adam's management has a multi-pronged approach to TP..one is to get him entrenched in international radio and promotion. Sometimes you have to go around the block to get home. AND I do believe if given a chance, TP will do well on the radio. I hasn't even gone for adds yet..let's give the song a chance, please? And yes, the Brunos and Kesha's are being played ad nauseum but that is radio..I as an Adam fan will request away, and keep my intent positive. He's already gotten, what 9 adds? Sorry, it's been so much fun enjoying Adam lately and getting back to the hand wringing about the new single is not helping my mood today. Throw rocks, tomatoes..I'm equal opportunity.. :-/ This post is made as a general statement of how I feel and is not directed at any individual. I agree! Both of HS's posts today were spot on and I would also love to see more of his thoughts on a more frequent basis! I was trying to catch up on all the goodness and excitement from over the weekend, so like you, was bummed that the comments have already shifted off of the huge promo opportunities over the past few days. Who cares what Kesha's or Bruno's songs are doing? There is always going to be competition on the charts from the handful of hit makers. Then there are the hundreds of other talented artists and groups who are out there still making a living, making music and making a difference! (as we just heard on the radio interview with Whitney) If you look at the overall picture, the fact that Adam is getting a third single from an album that has been off of the BB200 for a while, makes him a VERY unusual artist. The fact that this third single is getting an adds date, means that Adam has a great deal of support from his record label. (50% of the singles sent to radio never even get an add date) IMO, they see Adam as a long term investment and believe in his talent and his potential in the future.

If they could possibly think outside box, now would be a good time to give it a few spins. They have an opening, they just can't see it past all the politics.

Hi Vivlite.. no gloom and doom, I've been on Adamtopia since 6:30 A.M. IMHO How I see the comments, Ok what do we do ? how do we help and what's the best plan to get Trespassing to be heard on the radio. Some.. wish it were so forth... but I see a lot of Let's go ,Let's do this. I think Trespassing will be a hit.. would love a massive outpouring of support.. I would as well, Melliemom! Constructive thinking and action is powerful..angsting, not so much. Thanks, bb, for sharing your thoughts!

Haven't posted much, but have been lurking almost every day. What a wonderful week this last one has been for Adam. He is amazing--first the Maryland Equality gig, then the Voice China, and now talking to a girl whom he has inspired--a total win for him! I thought it was awesome that Ryan played a little of Trespassing before he brought Adam on--and Ryan is the one who mentioned the song. Then he also mentioned PLL--where Trespassing will be played. I am hoping this is a sign that Trespassing will get a shot at some of these big stations for radio play this time. I really don't think requesting in my area has much effect at all. I think if Z100 or Kiss adds it, then Trespassing will take off. Barring that, it will have to grow organically as other songs have through other means of exposure. I really hope it is a hit on the radio for Adam too. But, I no longer worry about this stuff. Adam will continue to find opportunities and make music, and as long as that means I can see him and listen to him perform, then it's all good. I will do my part requesting, but I refuse to angst! Also, just have to say that I am longing for an announcement of QAL in the US soon! I really hope that happens...I want to see Adam sing those songs in person! Thanks again to Q3, Cassie, tinafea et al. who do so much to make Adamtopia such a wonderful community! Love you all!

If you look at the overall picture, the fact that Adam is getting a third single from an album that has been off of the BB200 for a while, makes him a VERY unusual artist. The fact that this third single (after two that didn't hit big) is even getting an adds date, means that Adam has a great deal of support from his record label. IMO, they see Adam as a long term investment and believe in his talent and his potential in the future. THIS! In fact, I sometimes wonder now whether Sony/RCA had in some weird way always planned it that way to rather keep most of their ammunition for this round now. Never heard of such a marketing strategy, but they certainly seem to be pushing harder now than they were before. Or perhaps they pushed previously too and they just found themselves in front of shut doors, whereas now radio seems to have decided that this song is worthy and so the same amount of push is creating much better results. I dunno. I also have no idea why market research would have not told RCA that beforehand, but at least I see that there is some momentum behind this single now and that is very encouraging. What a win for Adam. Now KIIS-FM had him on, which is rare to begin with, played a bit of Trespassing, connected it meaningful to a bullying story, which was picked up by Katie Couric and now she is meeting this young girl, who probably by now is totally overwhelmed with what is happening to her, but nevertheless, it leads to Katie tweeting about Adam and I would not be surprised, if this afternoon on the show they would mention Adam and this song again, this time to a very different kind of audience and demographic than you typically get on KISS-FM. Katie has a huge following from the time when the Today Show was still in its golden days. I hope some folks have a chance to listen to the show this afternoon. I will miss it, but if anything about Adam is mentioned, I am sure the Ninjas will be right on it. Happy, that this is working out for this girl, but also very happy that this has been working out for Adam. Good stuff. Trespassing is going to trespass. I firmly believe it will!

I loved that conversation between Adam and Whitney.... first her asking who is this....and then her saying "I shouldn't say this but your eyes are so pretty" comment made me laugh because it was so adorable.
LMAO @ kidd rock "I can't compete with Adam Lambert"

Well, Trespassing is a hit with me, and with many others around the world already. It would be nice for Adam if it gets good play on radio, and I hope it does, and I'll vote and help all I can, but the radio doesn't dictate to me how to define success. Adam is making music and influencing the world around him positively and living with integrity. He has loyal fans who adore him- his music, his message and his example.
I'm selfish that way, lol. My son, who just graduated from NYU film school and is editing his senior film, called me last night and teased about hoping for some massive festival success. My reply: You are already successful because of the self you have created, but you could be a bit more massively successful if you would call me more often, lol.
Adam called that girl, and their conversation touched me. He touched me singing the duet. I love who he tries to be with others almost as much as I love his music and talent!
